The weapon system pins are pulled at the end of runway runway prior to takeoff if my memory serves me well. It's a flight line safety policy!

You are correct, EOR is wherenbomb pins and such are pulled, then the weapons guy or gal shows the pilots and crew chief them and the crew chief marshalles them out of the EOR spot.

As a little kid my older brother built a model of one of these. I'd never seen one before and I it was love at first sight. Its a mean looking thing. It so perfectly fulfills it's role.

A nice one. You have eagle eye. Well. All the safety pins of the jdams are left pinned for the EOR final checks or end of the runway. There's a holding point just at the end of the active where ground personnel is awaiting for the final checks and pins removal. Final salute and...take power set

Some safetyflags are only removed at EOR. In fact one crew chief prepare the plane and check startup and pilot, after that plane taxiing and go to EOR. Here an other crew chief check the plane to ne sure it's well configured and after that a weapons crew chief remove weapons safety flags. Plane is good to take off

Thumbs-Up #254 here, Wednesday 27 June 2018! I wish people in the California would inspect their cars, trucks or motorcycles the way Crew Chiefs and Pilots inspected their aircraft! I am former Air Force and still inspect my vehicle the way I did when I was active duty.

the a10 was made for when there were no MANPADS, but the f35 can use stealth to just go near, drop a GBU and fly away. the f35 isnt made to take lots of fire, but the a10 is

There are three airframes I would love to have flown. In order, the SR-71 Blackbird, the C-5B Galaxy, or the A-10 Thunderbolt. As if a F-35 Lightning can prosecute/survive CAS like an A-10 does.

Possibly they arm them at a separate area during training. It has been a practice to arm aircraft away from the flight line since at least Vietnam.
