Wanted to put out a lower effort video to pad out the time between upcoming vids, and I'll probably do this more often. Anyway, I wanted to do a vid on LiveLoveA$AP's samples for a while, especially since Bandstand's video is missing a bunch. Probably one of my favorite rap albums sample-wise, there's lots of great flips in here courtesy of the All-Star producer team Rocky had on here; Clams, SGP and Lou especially.

Shout-out Clams Casino. He was in his prime during this era. Rocky had Clams, SGP, and Squadda Bambino behind this project it really holds a special place in the cloud rap pantheon.

Easily rocky's best project. There's something just so nostalgic about this tape, It gives me throwbacks, the early 2010's was a great era for music.

It’s because its cloud rap thats the whole point of the genre to make you feel nostalgic and feel in the clouds

Rocky's production choices after this tape became increasingly generic or boring. Not to say they aren't still good to decent songs, but they aren't unique. They're still better than 90% of other 2010s hiphop though. But the reason Rocky had a stronghold at the time is because nobody else had the sound he did and then he just left Clams and worked with some mainstream producers like Hit Boy and T-Minus and the flavour just wasn't there. PMW and Goldie are still good but not legendary like Brand New Guy or Bass for example.
