A.B.A uses a lot of strange archaic words and is a little obsessed with the law. She also uses lot of 4-letter idioms called 'yojijukugo'. Yojijukugo usually assume you know the story behind them to understand the meaning. In English, this is similar to idioms like "a wolf in sheep's clothing".

Thanks for the translations! It’s a shame her strive dialogue is much simpler but given the very complex layers of context these lines have it makes sense for that to have changed (and I like to think it also reflects that she’s gotten better at speaking in a way that could be considered “normal”)

i love A.B.A in Strive so far but honestly… her dub voice is the first i’m not really a fan of. she sounds a lot more seductive instead of the creepy, nasally Japanese voice. ironically it was that undesirable aspect of her that made her so likeable…

i would maybe translate 2:40 into english in a way that conserves the idiom meaning as "I'm not above using you as a (harsh) example..." or something similar involving the term "example", as that's usually how that phrase would equate to its english equivalent in law contexts

Reading this makes me think that a lot of character's nuance was lost in her transition to Strive... Sad, cause these voicelines make her personality more interesting, instead of just watering her down to "maniacally possessive and jealous". Just a personal opinion though.

Konzetsu (根絶) means eradication / extermination. Danzai (断罪) means judgement of a crime, but can also mean beheading.
