In part 13, I wake up to bear prints? on the back glass of my camper. After relocating to a new area in Colorado a hail storm tries to destroy camp. I'll also explain how a change in the design of my truck bed camper really improved my living situation. I'm spending the afternoon on a stream I have fished in the past. This year it was near the end of run off and still running high with a little stain. But that didn't slow the bite down. The fishing was fantastic until the storms rolled in! I'll be exploring a few streams in the area before ultimately heading to Idaho for a few weeks.
I'm living in my truck bed camper for 2 months and road tripping through New Mexico, Colorado, Idaho and Wyoming. See the entire series on my channel or other parts below....
Check out the flies I used on this 2 month trip:

I watch trout fishing videos all the time. No one goes to the places Drew does. What an effort he goes to to get to these places. What I would give to be 20 years younger and do what Drew does. Thats fishing. Awesome fishing. Love the videos.

I'm completely blown away, that you don't worry about vandalism done to your truck, while you're hiking the streams and rivers... Seriously, I'd be worried as hell, some DIRTBAGS would break the windows out and steal EVERYTHING including ur entire truck ! Would suck and be very sad 😭😡... I luv your videos and I'm an avid traveler and wanderlust and FISHING FREAK !

Hey I know this is a older video but my 2 cents on making more room in your truck = put a roof rack on your shell and a cargo pod on top a Thule etc. I roam the states skiing in winters and switch modes to fishing spring, summer and fall....I use this option for more room . Ok my two cents . I'm using my full size camper now in my travels it's a older model but I bought it for how light it is 1700 lbs. And it has a full metal roof . It won't tear brushing up under all the tree branches I hit off roading on dirt roads . I built a rack on this slide in camper too and have a Thule up there as long with my solar panel . Ok thanks as always for the great vids ....I'm fishing now in northern California in the sierras .....have fun & be safe ....cheers 🍺

Another great video! You need to update your system, mount the Solar Panels on your Bed Cap, go Lithium Battery 100AH $400.00 (twice the power and half the weight) and get a Car (12V / 120V) Refrigerator / freezer 54qt $300.00.. make your own ice, no need to buy, You'll have more power, more space and spend less time moving things around... Ive had all mine for a year now, amazing... Lots of reviews on YT...

It's the orvis bugout system. I have the chest and backpack...together they make a pretty cool hiking system. I use the chest portion when I wear waders and a waist pack. But it clips into the backpack...so I can carry the things I need most on my chest. Keep suncreen, water filter, 1st aid, rain coat etc in the backpack! Been really happy with it!

Nice. What do you mean you double up the foam for your top shelf hopper? Use 2 pieces instead of one? so the foam body is twice as thick i presume. does the original not stay up that well in really rough water?
@LooknFishy

Yes, exactly that. The single foam version floats well but doesn't float a heavy dropper as well. I add a second layer when I want to fish dropper rigs...I go thru this and show all the flies I used on the trip in a video "the only flies you need...." a few vids back!
