here we have a beautiful chain driven westminster Hermle Grandmother clock, I didn't mention this in the video, but, this clock has history and paperwork with it as well, it was bought in 2002 at a price of £600 or there abouts from a place fairly local to where I live, this in itself is really nice to have all the history, and I even have the owners manual alongside it as well!

Very nice sound! Plus, for the courtesy of you and others who view this, there are actually words for the Westminster chime and they are below if you want to read them while listening or sing along when it is played in its entirety on the hour, which occurs at the 8:15 mark. Lord, through this hour, be Thou our guide. So, by Thy power, no foot shall slide. These words are based on Psalm 37:23-24, where David the psalmist declares this: The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and he delighteth in His way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord upholdeth him with His hand.

Nice clock sounds good you really should keep those notes from manual and that transaction safe that seriously increases the worth of this clock and its in a great condition and that price is amazingly cheap!

Grandfather clock is louder and bigger and grandmother clock is smaller and not to loud so yeah

A grandmother clock is a bit smaller than a grandfather clock

I own one of those HAC Trinity mantel clocks you mentioned. It is currently out of service. The chime rods on it are tuned to the same pitch as this clock (C sharp), however the HAC rods are made of bell-metal (copper and tin) and sound tinnier. They are very loud and I do hope to get mine running someday.

Bell metal is Bronze, not copper/tin...! :)

@@contraposaune LMAO Bell Metal Copper and Tin, I don't think Big Ben would have lasted over 100 years with Copper and Tin Bell Metal, there would be more dents and hole's than a pepper pot
