Superb Loco! I ordered the original livery when it was first announced! I was so pleased when it arrived. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a BR Blue example as well, which runs and looks equally special driving through our club layout, Tiverton Junction! Well done KR, looking forward to the Leader!

I got a Bachmann class 20 from ebay in the Pete Waterman black livery. For me it works having a non-standard livery. I then got Olivia Trains class 77 in black and I realised that although I am not a fan of black steam locos, I really like diesels and electrics in black. A black class 08 is now on my wishlist. There is a future for non-standard liveries and the smaller manufacturers have the chance to capture the market from the over priced, sub standard products from the 'big' two producers.

As a what if, very nice. Perhaps BR Green would have been more in keeping, unicycle Lion on the tender. Even in the 70s many diesels running up and down the valley could be seen in the old Green livery.

It has the same livery as the InterCity 125 so, GT3 pulling the IC Mk3 coaches (let alone double headed)? Quite an odd fit.

I really do not like that very shiny finish. it makes it too new-looking. I also think that BR would not have painted their blue and yellow livery in that way. Maybe we should have a competition of how it should have been painted. Martin. (Thailand)

Interesting but I don't think BR would have painted it that way...the corporate image was king in them days..just the front in warning yellow and the rest standard blue with black underframes...why would they have painted the rear of the cab yellow and those yellow grills and white running frame would've been a waste of time and soon been filthy black, nah think KR have got that wrong. I'd be repainting mine if I had one.
