Thank you for joining us again at The Little Dexter Homestead, where we seek to honor the Lord in all that we do.
For this week's message, Amélie shares her journey to modest and simple dress as a result of her coming to be a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. She shares a glimpse into her wardrobe and shares some vendors you may find interesting.
We also spend some time at another Dexter cow farm and look into expanding our herd with some new additions.

Amen! When I flew up to meet Kalon's family before we married he took me to the mall to walk around (not much to do in North Dakota!). Every so often he would turn and stare at me and eventually I thought, "this guy is nuts!!! What have I gotten myself in to??!!" But later he told me that every time we passed an immodestly dressed woman he found peace by turning to look at me. We really are our brothers keepers!! Thank you for sharing on this important topic!

This is refreshing to stumble upon. Modesty is something of a rare idea now a day. I'm on a isolated homestead because we need to keep our lord in mind and action for our life together. New subscriber here. Ty

If you have a personal conviction that you should dress a certain way, that's ok. Its when people's personal convictions get imposed on other people that it becomes a real problem. Because not everyone has the same convictions. That's very clear in the New Testament. Also, the NT does not say what article of clothing a man or woman wears or is exclusive to that gender, nor does it say what articles of clothing we can or cannot wear. That's important. Why? Because clothing is generally up to us. (Paul did seem to show some concern that Christians not go against prevailing conservative cultures or show off wealth). What is or isn't modest is basically a construct of people. Because, as some say, modesty is based on motive and cannot always be certain articles of clothing covering certain areas of the anatomy. Again, wear what your conscience allows or disallows.

The Lord looks at the heart, not at the outward appearance. But as we know, we don’t want to be a stumbling block to anybody. May the Lord help us in that regard. Thank you for your comment. 🌻

When I accepted the Lord I did not need to do the changing of the clothes like you did. The reason is because as I was growing up my parents never allowed us to dress inappropriately and I was okay with that. My parents were not christians then but it was just the way they thought about clothing. It always breaks my heart to see women and young women dressing in such inappropriate ways and even with all of the tatoos they show. There is scripture about tatooing also if you want to look that up and use it sometime. Appreciate your videos much. Thank you.

I appreciate your testimony and it breaks my heart also regarding how women are dressing - hence the reason why I thought it would be important to share this message. Thank you for the idea about tattoos, I will consider it (Leviticus 19:28). 🌷
