L take, the wired cobra is a definite upgrade, the cobra pro tho, was just not appealing to what mouse enthusiasts want, still an alright mouse, just not a must buy. Its more that people are disappointed we arent getting a viper mini pro

Probably for this type of sensor, 1600 DPI would be a safer bet in terms of overall performance and feel. (Regarding wired version)

I am so glad you mentioned the groove that sticks out and stabs my pinky! lol besides that similar to the razer viper but the buttons on Cobra are butter! I love the clicks on Cobra.

Thanks for your video, I've seen a lot of reviews, but really enjoy yours. I love razer mouses and I'm from latin america so I don't haver many options on the market. Do you know about some mouse like the basilisk, cause the shape and the amount of buttons, but smaller like the viper mini and wireless?

Razer spat in our faces with this release (rvmw se owner here and viper mini fan). I was expecting a decent priced final mouse competitor, to crush the competition from companys like final mouse. Looks like that ain't going to happen. Good one razer.

They really messed up and having confirmation that the Viper Mini Wireless is not coming out is just a slap in the face. Glad I have the SE otherwise I'd be even more pissed.

I think it's fine. The razer cobra pro is just a Razer viper mini with the full featured packing, the shapes are slightly bigger, and has the option to utilize the wireless charging dock. Plus it's highly marketed. I think its a fair deal to have the razer known design fully featured. Just because everythings going "pro" model doesn't mean this isn't a good product, because it doesn't have to be eSports centric entirely. I compare this to shrouds g303 release, heavier but not too heavy, yet fully featured in tech and stamping the razer style of RGB and wireless charging dock and high polling. The wired version is just replacing the viper mini for kids. People don't understand apparently

They could've added a lightweight alternative to the Cobra Pro, maybe a V2? Just like Viper Ultimate being 72 grams with RGB, then released a Viper V2 Pro, a lightweight alternative. Copium down the line, I guess. Maybe they're trying to separate the Viper Mini shape from the Viper lineup and make a whole line of products from there, could be business stuff going on. Imagine the Cobra V2 Pro, a lightweight one without RGB, now they have different budget options for each shapes: Cobra, Viper and Deathadder, all having their own lightweight option. The Viper Mini Signature Edition could be their send-off to the "Viper Mini" name.

What's your favorite under $50 mouse that isn't a Superlight Pro clone? I have an Aj199 coming but I still want to play with shapes a bit and even experiment with skates a bit which is more affordable with cheaper mice. Never used glass skates for example but I could see them working well for heavy tracking games like apex. My current is Pulsar V2 but not a huge fan of it tbh. I believe it's just the shape. I prefer my Logitech G PRO Hero more 😂

@@vershua1 I haven't heard of anyone else having the issue personally. Razer said they tested it on their end and everything seemed to be working as it should so it was probably just my copy.

Do you know if the top DPI buttons are full size/micro mouse switches (like on the side), or are they small tactile switches (like on some lower end mice or under the scroll wheel)? Thanks for the review that isn’t just hate. Not every mouse has to be a Lamzu Atlantis, As much as I love that mouse.

I believe the difference lies with the manufacturer because my friend's Viper Mini, built in China, has a better tracking sensor than mine, which was made in Thailand.

Guys plz help me out. The only razer mouse I really tested was the deathadder v2.and really enjoyed the clicks and rgb and the shape but the weight was not really to my liking.I was wondering which one in the razer lineup is really good for competetive shooters and in a pretty good budget.and also I really don't like the wireless versions cuz the wired ones really feel wireless to me.The games I play are r6 overwatch call of duty and apex.mostly r6

77g and using a microdot as middle mouse button - RiP. 4k Dock in station and RGB - what a combination. Who are they aiming for? If only they had at least given the wired variant a reasonable sensor. Seems like Viper Mini fans have to bet on the Delux M800 Ultra or maybe the Lamzu Maya.

I wouldn't recommend the Cobra. I had the Viper Mini for many years and decided to try out this one. The clicks are awful, the skates slide less and the sensor feels less precise. I really don't like it. The only positive thing is that the scroll wheel feels a bit better. RIP Viper Mini, you were the budget GOAT. 😔

Clicks sounds very satisfying no doubt and build quality also, but I have 3 reasons it's a BIG no for me. 1) Rhubber : If needed, you can buy some and replace them. 2) Gloss : I just HATE gloss 3) Weight : Late 2020, GPX at 63gr... How many designers and engineers do they need to get at least 65gr in 2023 ? I mean, c'mon Razer! ^^ Maybe I'm a bit too harsh, but it's my humble and honest opinion about the Cobra. Very nice and detailed video btw, keep up the good work. =)

Depends on hand size and shape preference they are very different. But I’m terms of specs and performance the DAv3 has much more to offer but is also 30 dollars more

massive disappointment imo, just releasing a heavier gimmicky wireless viper mini so that it doesn't compete with the viper mini se. Genuinely believe this was just a ploy to push more people to purchase the SE.

Nothing proves better that the internet is an echo chamber quite like this Cobra release. This Cobra Pro was certainly probably not the best that Razer could have released for the NICHE enthusiast market who wanna pretend that 10 grams is what separates them from being better than Faker or s1mple. HOWEVER this segment was really small to begin with, so they tossed in some features that might expand its buyer base beyond just that niche. They're NOT making a mouse for a few of YOU specifically, they're making something that their departments believe will sell mass market. And obviously people will think this is in defense of Razer. It's not, I was disappointed with the specs when it was revealed too. But people trashing the mouse who probably haven't bought and tried it is straight ignorance and misinformation. I bought it just so I could see for myself and vocalize an informed opinion, and guess what? The Cobra Pro was definitely the most comfortable for my hand but also the most maneuverable, and I'm hitting shots I didn't think I could hit before. Is 77g kinda heavy for this? Sure. But people forget that shape is king, and Razer delivered the shape. And it works. So what else is there to complain about?

Bruh i legitimately didn't understand why razer made us waited for 3 years for a shitty, heavy, rubber grip and other unnecessary razer cobra pro when all we want all plastic, wireless and lightweight with the same shape. Viper mini (wireless) should be a no frills lightweight gaming mouse, not this shit show. Thank God for the chinese clones mouse out there

I picked up a Cobra Pro and did a write-up on r/mousereview (u/thunder2132). I think it's a fine mouse, but I really felt the extra weight while gaming on my Raiden Xsoft. It just felt slow, like I had to work to get it moving. The saving grace for me is the BT connectivity. I love the RVM shape, it's nearly perfect for me, but none of my clones supports BT, which I need for my laptop, so this will be going in my work bag. Lately I've been maining my HTX and RVMSE, and it's really hard to go back to 77g when you've been rocking 40 and 50 g mice for a while.
