An interesting point is that the Muslim League initially didn't want an independent state, they wanted to have seats reserved for religious minorities. If a region had 30% Muslims then 30% of its seats would be reserved for Muslims. If 40% were Hindu then Hindus would get 40% of seats. The INC disagreed with this method and thought that this would just created further division and rejected the League's proposals, which led to them believing Partition was the only way forward

The only way to have prevented divisive politics in the modern Indian subcontinent, and to prevent future divisive politics in the region is to have prevented partition completely. An independent united India that is not divided on the basis of religion but rather united on the basis of common cultural linguistic and historical is the only solution. In the same way that an economically and socially integrated Europe in the form of the EU or an economically integrated asean has promoted peace and prevented international conflict, a completely integrated Indian subcontinent is the only solution to have prevented much strife, the horrors of partition, thousands of riots, the division of families and communities etc. To be convinced of the necessity of a Pakistan or a khalistan on the sole basis of religion despite centuries of common culture and history, would not only put into question multiculturalism in India but also in the west and in the US that imports millions of immigrants of different religious backgrounds.

You forgot the problem was not religious, the Sikhs didnt want any separate country until a few decades later It was mainly due to muslims' anxiety, they wanted a separate country without any non muslim majority, thats why Christian and Sikh majority areas joined India Many muslims didnt want the partition itself but the ones it power wanted it

What a dumb take, congress WAS secular. That was the reason hindu mahasabha was formed to represent Hindus. The INC had a lot of hindu and muslim leaders. For example India's first education minister was a muslim. Please actually do some real research before just copying the western mainstream media. You also missed out the atrocities committed by the all India Muslim league such as the direct action day

My Great-Grandfather was a key leader to the All Indian Muslim Leauge . I support this map because it makes India smaller and pakistan bigger. Also with very very diverse regions the best thing to do is just unite it all in a way that gives all groups like roughly equal stuff and historically this leads to more cooperation. Anyone great map and good job.
