100% bro! Every one should be doing this system in the next 5 years. And it will open up so many other positions with the principles behind it - like head on the mat and perpendicular and parallel.

I learned this first at a seminar by @ToddMargolisBJJ, then purchased the instructional. These concepts have completely changed my game. I am a 56 year old purple belt, I can now escape anyone’s mount, even high level people

I dig this. I started using a similar motion to butterfly sweep people (using the top leg as the hooking leg and bottom foot against the mat) a while back and constantly get sweeps that way. It's almost like going into a granby roll. I think this movement pattern is essential to get good at for multiple situations, clearly

Awesome technique for mount escape. Way better than what I've been taught. It's hard to find good jujitsu and mma gyms that actually teach real effective techniques.

Love this shrimp - I’ve been drilling details like keeping my head on the mat, hand position, and bringing in the top knee and they make a huge difference for me. Thanks, coach!

This looks like it wouldn't work if the top guy controls the head and at least one underhook, which any good mount player will do 🤷‍♂

@@Silduril great question and I go over this in the instructional. One arm trapped and a few other sticky positions.

This is great but very advanced..if not done correctly you can easily be giving your back up
@ToddMargolisBJJ
@ToddMargolisBJJ Жыл бұрын
All mount escapes done incorrectly will give up the back as I demonstrate in the video but this is a much higher percentage defense that leads to offense not just to another neutral position. Returning to half guard isn’t the best option in my opinion.

Where you put your frames is different and you want to keep your head on the mat. It’s not the normal escape at all from what I can see
