In Bengaluru we call everyone Sir from Janitor to CEOs. Infact CEOs are called by there name.

Yes. Strongly agree . This uncle/ aunty culture is nauseating. We always adress elders who arent our relatives by their first name and never faced this nuisance. I dont know, who brought in this nasty habit of calling all uncle and aunty. By the way in our language kaka is crow 😅

@@potatoman222True, it's all about which word makes you irritated , saying someone uncle aunty doesn't make them disrespectful nor respectful, it's just the way to addressing people , we've enough commonsense developed why someone is calling someone uncle aunty, the other way of addressing can be done depending upon the people, area , position and so on.

Absolutely correct,when people slightly younger address aunty it really hurts. They should know if the person is of their parents age then they can call aunty uncle. Nowadays people feel bad if you call them ma’am or sir, they ask to be addressed by their name

From the place i came from in Punjab, not many people are comfortable conversing in English. Although i studied in Convent School followed by Graduation and Post Graduation in CHANDIGARH and DELHI, i started conversing in English. Today, after around 20 years i can confidently say that I have developed good communication skills in English. Inspite of that, i don't have Any EGO for that and i talk in HINDI and PUNJABI also where English is not needed. And i don't make fun of anyone or judge that person on his communication skills. On the contrary, i try to guide to speak or write properly. I don't write any BOY on my VEHICLES as can explain it well with My Communication Skills ...
