Just another example of how media is controlled by the corporate world.This reporter is probably just doing what she was told to do and she probably wants to keep her job so she's being an attack dog in this case for Monsanto.That's why more and more people are going to independent social media channels for their news these days to find the truth. It's happening in the UK, US, and many other countries globally.It's global corporatism baby!

***** Ah... I see that you're referring to the " *how* *to* *kill* *a* *kitten* *with* *a* *head*-*squeeze*" video (*goo*.*gl/gX2SWK*). If you actually saw the video before cobbling together your pitiful _ad_ _hominem_ attack, you would have realized that it was a joke. Since you bothered going through my videos, I decided to return the favour. I went through your videos, and was shocked by what I discovered.... You actually believe that a *New* *World* *Order* exists, and that they're spraying us with *chemtrails*! You spend most of your day videotaping harmless contrails and weaving a huge conspiracy theory around it. *Get* *a* *job*. I may be a troll on KZfaq, but I'm otherwise a productive member of society. You sound like you're on welfare and belong in an asylum. It's nutjobs like you who support *idiots* *like* *Vandana* *Shiva* in a self-sustaining cycle. She harps on about chemicals... you buy her books... she whines even more... you buy *even* *more* books... it just never stops with you dolts.
@StellaAzul8 жыл бұрын
***** don't feed the trolls! I am with you all the way. I work at an organic farm, sell veggies at markets AND I have parents and siblings who think the salads at McDonald's is healthy, though they always eat the burgers...they all have health issues and weight issues and what I see as mental health issues. They think I am crazy though I take no pharmaceutical products and no physical or health issues. They love me but still can't hear me on these issues. Hopefully the trolls will become an extinct race.
@Wuppie628 жыл бұрын
+Stella Azul Eating too many hamburgers and small amounts of vegetables is not the most healthy diet of course (!), but that has nothing to do with the difference between 'organic' or regular/non-'organic' grown food. If the hamburgers would be from organic cows your parents/siblings still wouldn''t have a healthy diet.

I was so impressed with Vandana Shiva! The interviewer gave her such a hard time, but she persisted without losing her temper and she was wonderful, I thought. To me, if you grow anything, the seeds are yours! I can't believe a company could control what you do with the seeds of YOUR plants! We live in strange times, but Shiva is one of the hopes for our future.

The real truth is " history is written by the winners " .It was there time for last few centuries and the Asian became too complacent . Good times create weak Men Weak Men create Bad times Bad times create Strong Men And Strong Men create good times . So I am pretty sure that times will change. China is already proving that and have many other Asian countries . Hopefully Indias time will come . Humans have lived for 100s of Centuries . It was only in the the last 2-3 centuries that West has dominated.

***** or maybe you are being misinformed by these corporations that are in it for profit, and give no fucks about you or any human. These seeds created by corporations and are made so you can use their products; for example Monsanto with their Roundup Ready crops. These Chemicals deplete the soil and the microscopic life in it which have a symbiosis relationship with plants . Bio-dynamic farming is the way to gooooooooo. You can't just ignore the natural food web, that has been placed there since day one. The deeper history of life and the greater diversity of life on this planet is microorganisms-bacteria, protozoans, algae. Just because they have the money DOESN'T MEAN THEY ARE ALWAYS RIGHT.............. DIVERSITY IS NEEDED. STOP TRYING TO MISINFORM THE PUBLIC.

There is no point in having this conversation. But here I go. Indians are killing themselves because of this seed issue - Monsanto has manipulated seeds to give them ownership/patent of it and not nature. Seeds come from nature fool. Furthermore, Indians do not like debt - so they would rather die that have debt to anyone - something that Americans should consider. But of course, you would not know this because you are coming out of the American "public fool system". Only an uneducated, uncultured fool would speak in this way. Over and out.

So many vile tactics employed on the part of the interviewer. Yet Dr. Shiva sees right through them and answers wisely, thoroughly, and with transparency. The interviewer repeatedly appeared perplexed at the various ideas Dr. Shiva presented concerning sustainable, abundant and diverse methods for food production. The interviewer only seemed to be able to make sense of the idea of "increased yields-increased GDP, increased profits". Not comprehending that all those numbers come at a sacrifice of other vitally needed crops. If bt cotton is a benefit to India, or any country that adopts it as a commodity, then thought and consideration needs to also be placed on other crops being produced that a country/region requires to feed it's locals whenever possible.

Beautiful argument from Vandana, although I guess she missed mentioning how harmful and destructive for life the GMO are
@nikhilsukumar235 жыл бұрын
Gmo creates a monopoly of one crop even from the same family for the profit of the one per cent who are the billionaires. This approach has no known good for the poor and the middle class who are the farmers and other workers. Gmo is artificially created to stop farmers from having seeds to replenish each year. Hence the billionaires can sell GMO forever to these farmers who cannot get profit and ultimately commit suicide. If every farmer in an area sold wheat then the price of wheat will go down naturally while the export will double to other countries. This increase in export isn't helping the farmers who die selling more for a lesser price. This is what I learnt from the interview.

It is a benefit to the corporation who profits from it. Nobel prize is meant for people like Vandana Shiva. A woman of substance in the forefront, waging the battle against the big bad world out there run by geeedy, avaricious corporate giants hell bent on making money by hook or by crook. Her audacity and optimism is contagious.

Watching this after 10 years. The gap on knowledge and understanding of the root cause of the issues being discussed is like heaven and sky. May God protect Dr Vandana Shiva. She is a real warrior fighting against modernism which has done so much destructions to the world.

What is illegal is creating a monopoly on seeds or anything. Why no one talks about that?
@ysfkrwn70958 жыл бұрын
the economic system is much more complex, since our economy is "growth" driven and not "sustainability" driven. when we are into stop the monopoly, there should be a limitation of growth, and that would be a great challenge.
