@MrSnek Ugh I hate it when a wonderful thing gets ruined by drama :( band classes in high school were always similar with me. Even worse is favoritism with the instructors, GOD I can't stand it. People need to get over themselves! It's probably largely due to just general high school immaturity as well. Sorry to dredge up old annoyances, but glad to hear it was a little relieving as well! So music-based audios are right up my street. The music tutor one was just me showing off haha and I do have plans for a longer piano sleep aid audio soon. @tinseltina omg I was actually thinking about this today, how I wish I could focus in more on little scenes so I could make more straightforward audios occasionally…but getting immersed in the backstories helps me feel like I’m delivering a fuller world to the listener if that makes sense. I dunno, I’d like to play around with littler ones soon! Thank you so much for listening!!

@@tanukiaudios in my experience listening it seems like having either established closer relationships or simpler conflicts makes it easier to have the simpler stories? like the solutions/resolutions are quicker to get to? or maybe it's because you're a very thorough communicator that your stories go on a little longer than average? the characters are richer and you can tell there's so much more to them than these moments in time, rather then leaving their lives up to interpretation. i've noticed you're characters, while also fitting into archetypes have more to them than simply, for example "tsundere calls you stupid, and is stubborn against the listener's whimsy but ultimately gives in and they either confess their feelings or go out on a date". when you write a tsundere character, it's like they are with certain aspects (like romance or being complimented by others) or with certain people (like the listener) and is actually very warm and expressive with everyone else. it's lovely how you bring these people to life and make them feel very real, but that also means you spend more time giving plenty of examples and anecdotes of their lives to flesh them out. if you'd really like to experiment more with shorter vignettes, i'd recommend giving yourself more of a limit of how many of those "examples" or what types of examples you give (like shorter ones that don't go over a minute of runtime). like you could really push yourself to be as efficient with your word count to deliver a story without taking so long. or not! it's your art form 😊 we'd be happy to listen regardless.

@tinseltina I really appreciate the analysis and recommendation! And I'd agree across the board. Part of me feels like its cheating to not commit to creating a full story for each video, but that's probably the biggest factor in why the videos take so much energy to produce as well. I'm always trying, when I write, to avoid repeating tired tropes in the same ways people always hear them, but I think there's a middle ground between that and where I'm at now. I just need to experiment a bit to figure out where that is, I think. I've definitely noticed as well that I do go overboard on the anecdotes a bit, whereas other channels trust the listener to fill in the blanks for themselves. Ah there are so many moving parts in the process! Story, acting, inflection, sfx, interaction with the listener...I want to focus on how it all works together more as I continue making videos, rather than overemphasizing a single part. Rambling, rambling. I'll keep your suggestion in mind as I continue to write, thank you!

@@tanukiaudios no problem! i appreciate you taking the time to read my comments. and if it helps at all, someone's "cliche" and "tired" trope/story may be another person's favorite and will gladly consume it a million times over. (this is especially evident in this community, including listening to the same script be filled by different people. they all offer something unique even if it's the same script)
