How do you make disciple making a practical reality?
Robby Gallaty gives a strategy for making disciples in the 21st century.
It starts with Jesus in the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20 and the authority of Jesus. This isn't just teaching. This is making disciples and part of that includes teaching. Discipleship is not a curriculum or class. It is far more than that. Discipleship is "the course of your life."
It isn't about getting more people to your church but to get those God has sent you to go deeper. God grows the church. We focus on the people God has given us already.

When jesus met the 10 disciples he breathed the holy ghost upon them, the 3rd person present. Their doubts were gone. Then Thomas appeared and Jesus said ' be not faithless, but believing!'. For those who have not yet seen are of great faith... great passage!!

9:50 - "Disciple" appears 269 times in NT (238 in Gospels): "Christian" appears 3 times in NT.

Exactly right Robert. It is interesting that "disciple" basically drops out completely after Acts and the language moves to family language of brothers and sisters, adoption and the family of God/household of God. I wonder sometimes if that is because Jesus was no longer here to be followed directly that they changed the language a bit? Hard to say. What do you think?

If you think youtube exposure limits the power of the only God , you sir are mistaken. 18k in 4 years is 12 people a day. 12 people a day learned something new, and were given a new perspective. Those 12 will tell 12 more, and those 12 will tell 12 more. Discipleship is planting seeds. NOT counting the harvest.

@@Longspout15 there is NO limit to the power of GOD . I was referring to the response of so-called Christians as the might have stumbled on this from GOD'S influence and either neglected it or rejected it What will it take for the church to wake up?

On a different tack. . How very very few can be counted as disciples who then mature to have "babies" as it were. Salvation is not an end to itself. It's about having saving faith then growing up. Fire insurance isn't enough.

To get likes on social media then just appeal to sin. Thats just not the way of a discipleship. To please this world we would have to step away from God. I am a new disciple and this message is speaking to me.

Third time through this talk. It is a blueprint. You need one to build with. They show us how. Some very few want to do the blood sweat and tears it takes.
