Experience with us the pleasure of bird-watching. We are delighted to share a recent video of Blyth's Tragopan (Tragopan blythii) or the grey-bellied tragopan, a pheasant that is a vulnerable species (IUCN).
They normally flock to wooded areas as they prefer the undergrowth of evergreen oak and rhododendron forests, and other dark, quiet bamboo thickets. High levels of grazing and slash and burn agriculture in Bhutan are some of their significant threats. The population of the tragopan is believed to be declining because of such threats.
