@johnwhitty12363 жыл бұрын
The lad in the canoe does not own the river near his property that's not the way it goes. Evidence in the video and audio points to that boat being moored. So salvage rights cannot be applied. If anything canoe lad has no right to be at the boat and any damage done by him can be claimed for by owner. U do not pull a boat by the inboard engine or the gunnels. No one has a right to touch a moored boat. Even meaning tied or anchored.

I never quibble about success, however I'll give you my approach. A scuba regulator first stage (the tank end) makes the same pressure as a typical air compressor (125 - 140 PSI). So you adapt your compressor hose (with a quick disconnect and air chuck) to an old second stage regulator hose, and you now have a portable (even submersible) air compressor. The next step is to acquire a small assortment of automotive intertubes and rig them with loops of plastic rope with carabiner for quick attachment. For reference: One car size will lift a motor cycle, Two car size will lift a VW, Two car size (front bumper) + one truck (semi) size inside will lift an Econline Van and Four Car Size will lift a 9000 Lb hydroplane off the bottom (from 35 ft) of the Ohio river. While I never had a failure, note that the air will double in size for every 33 ft of lift so never add more air than is necessary to begin to lift. When the van got light to the touch, I just grabbed it off the bottom and with a heave, shoved it to the surface from about 25 feet (most bizarre sight ever). In your case, I would have made a sling out of two tubes and some plastic strap and centered them under the heavy end. Once floating, slowly tow it to a ramp or beech where a wrecker could pull it out. FYI...I have used these techniques about 40 times over the last 56 years.
