No chance of getting big-headed with your Mum to keep you in your place. She’s just like mine was 😂. Well done for surviving the Cycle race. I have been caught in that and it’s no fun but at least you saw the pigs. I was just thinking that a couple of times in 10 years is not a lot for pig spotting but then realised that we have been here 24 years and probably haven’t seen them more than 4 or 5 times. The funniest was seeing a big, fat sow lying in the ditch at the side of the road sleeping off her obvious excesses. I was in Lymington Sea Salt yesterday and could happily have bought 75% of the shop ❤️

Hi Helen. How lovely to see your mum again- such a wonderful lady, just amazing for her age and as bright as a button. I love wandering around garden centres when I come to England and they stock so much more than plants, flowers and garden equipment these days. I actually bought a fantastic raincoat in our local one a few years ago.I love to see you both laughing - it makes me smile too and as for the photo of Dolly……. that definitely deserves to be framed and hung on the wall ! Hi there you 2 lovelies. Nice to see Mum again. That's a really worthwhile charity. Dementia took my Mum over 20yrs ago.. She was diagnosed in October & she passed 3 months later. It was awful she didn't know who I was 1 month after she went into hospital. Things are very different today with the way they treat patients. I hated it & say I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy! Enjoy your weekends/trips away xx

Helen, really enjoyed that chat with you and your Mum. You don't need to be told to cherish her as it's obvious you and the family already do. You're so right about dementia, it is a very cruel disease. I’ve lost one sister to it and the eldest of us four 'girls' now has it too. She'll be 90 in a few weeks (I was the baby 😅) and although she's in its grip she still has her impish sense of humour. The younger ones in the family all do run/walk charity events for Alzheimer's research which is great. Loved all your bargains. Great ideas for Christmas.
