Africa must unite & go further even beyond free borders, free trade, etc like Schengen in Europe 🇪🇺 if we must be free from modern imperialism & political interference from external or foreign powers enough is enough
@awula5385
@awula5385 Жыл бұрын
Well said. We should not aspire to be like the west. Western imperialism is crumbling as we speak. It’s based on hyper capitalism which elevates a few and feeds off the majority. In the US for example, what passes for prosperity is actually debt. Most people are deep in debt b cause everything is bought on credit. Africans should be informed of these things so they can understand the full impact of what is made to look good outwardly.

Without unity, African countries would be colonized by the West, one victim at time... Looking at history, we see how western countries divided Africa like a piece of cake, like: UK gets this Africa country, France gets that, Germany gets another one. Like buying stuff in supermarket. 😑

Humility??? We need to go beyond that . Who in 2023 wants Mahama to be his president again? He lacks foresight and he’s incompetent and corrupt like Akuffo Addo. We all have to come together and elect a leader who has the nation at heart. We need to get rid of all these fake leaders who only come to power to serve their selfish interests.

I had a bad perception about Mahama due to the message politicians put out there. But sometime a year or 2 ago I chanced on his one on one interview with Kofi Adoma and was glued to watching other interviews. One thing I deduced was his humbleness and humanity. In January 1919, after Max Weber and his party were defeated for election, he delivered one of his greatest academic lectures, "Politics as a Vocation", which reflected on the inherent violence and dishonesty he saw among politicians - a profession in which only recently Weber was so personally active. About the nature of politicians, he concluded that, "in nine out of ten cases they are windbags puffed up with hot air about themselves* . They are not in touch with reality, and they do not feel the burden they need to shoulder; they just intoxicate themselves with romantic sensations."  Maximilian Karl Emil Weber (21 April 1864 - 14 June 1920) was a German sociologist, historian, jurist and political economist, who is regarded as among the most important theorists of the development of modern Western society. His ideas profoundly influence social theory and research.

This was a good interview but I live in the Bahamas and for me to travel to Ghana I first have travel to the USA or Cuba just to apply for a Visa. I think something is wrong with this to spend money to go to a another country just to get a visa it's very expensive and time consuming, this need to be fix for us who want to travel from the Bahamas to Ghana.

Sorry madam, but you can travel direct to Ghana and get your visa at the airport. Note: Africans or Blacks around the world can travel to Ghana, and get visa upon arrival at Kotoka international airport in Accra provide Ghana embassy is not available there, especially the Carribbean countries.

These guys go that short, you can’t have them for more than 10minutes. Even the German minister it was 10minutes

Thanks for this interview. I love the humility, gentleness and the candid elucidation of the former president. I trust that when he has another opportunity to govern Ghana, he will make the country better than it currently is. Congratulations Wode Maya!

Maya this was smart. Keep up the good job. So we have a 40 year development plan and no party cares but they work on their part’s plan to retain power . It’s time they should let everyone have access to everything going on in the country. Digitalization should be in every sector so we can sit everywhere to Acess information from all ministries, departments the presidency as well. God bless Ghana 🇬🇭 and Africa. We will get there!!!

For infrastructure, it’s true. I don’t do politics but he really did alot. I personally wanted him out but we need him back. Since Ghana has no alternatives aside ndc and npp, but ndc has done more in mahama administration.
