the aviana situation is interesting. Joel replaced Marcus Vik (Invent, Animate), they released Epicenter, then everyone but him dipped and now it's technically just him, with his friends filling in for the meantime. incredibly proud of what Joel has turned the band into, and i kinda prefer this sound way more than epicenter, though epicenter is still an amazing album

I think epicentre just lacked consistency , i still love the 3 or 4 amazing tracks there but the whole album was definitely very bloated , however writing this now after a few more singles i can definitely assure that this album is gonna be way more consistent and thought out than epicentre

this is definitely the best single so far, avianas best work is definitely on epicenter with those eery intros, deep growls and good cleans, these songs are good too

Fun and interesting thing to note, is that right now (to my knowledge) the vocalist is the only member - everyone else called it quits after their last album, but he's carrying on like a champ with this song and their previous single.

Both this song and Retaliation are hella weak and generic compared to Aviana's previous material. It's obviously due to the whole line-up being renewed with the exception of Joel, but these songs sound like they are heavy for the sake of being heavy and really offer nothing else. P.S. Love the change of scenery!

oblivion is definitely the best single so far, retaliation was kind of weak but its grown on me but yeah i agree. Epicenter is definitely avianas best work

@@Ethereal.Comatose I personally prefer Polarize, since every single song of that album makes sense. Epicenter is still very good, but has a couple filler songs in the second half (Celosia and More Than A Name, for instance)

I agree with your opinion too. When I heard oblivion and this song it was kinda eh for me. Some parts sounded good but I didn't get much of a feeling or vibe from these two songs unlike their other stuff. I think it's just the fact Joel is writing all these songs by himself it's just missing some flavor other songs had. I hope he finds people to join the band and they add more.
