Fantastic track. Hangout near the paddock, try the bourbon bread pudding. The hot dog has really good topping, like a beef stew. Make reservations to tour Claiborne farms. That was my biggest mistake. Now I have to go back! :)

That's not how it works. That's like saying that at 10:20 , that if the race was only a half mile, #8 would have won? Horses don't just all take off sprinting out of the gate and run as fast as they can as far as they can. Horses (jockeys) adjust their speed to get to the FINISH LINE first. That is the object. Not to be "closing fast at the end and come up short". Going back to my example. At 10:20, according to you, the #8 would have won if the race were 1/2 mile because he was leading at 1/2 mile. Not the way it works. The other horses would have been trying to get to the finish line first, and if the finish line was at 1/2 mile, they all would have been running differently to get there. Its not where you are the 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile and it's not if you "close ground". Its "get to the finish line first".

I am familiar with generally how you want to run a race, I worked as a horseman for Johnathan Sheppard, his horses always rated well and finished hard. The 3/8 pole is generally the "lets go" mark, where the jock figures out if their horse has the legs to contend and presses the whips. And not every horse is compliant to "rating" early in races. Lower tier claimers are occasionally just horses who can only run 5 1/2 furlong sprint races because they fight the bit. That's why I bet horses to place because some horse just flies up late and catches the pack that's raced each other down some.

Speed figures are faster than Secretariat in all but one race. Secretariat average margin of victory at 1.25 miles is 2 3/4 lengths. Flightline's average margin is 14 lengths. Flightlines largest margin of victory at 1.25 miles is 19 3/4. Secretariats is 3 1/2. Secretariats average margin of victory at 1 mile is 3 1/4 lengths. Flightlines is 11. LOL. There's one in every crowd. Someone name drops Secretariat to try to sound smart. Makes you sound naive though. It's okay. The general public does it all the time. Oh, and Secretariat lost 25% of his races. So...there's that. LOL. I'm not saying Flightline was better. I'm saying there are stats that says he is. I just get sick of people like you that know nothing about horse racing, sitting in the corner of the room that blurt out Secretariats name every time a good horse appears. Don't do it. Well let me add my admiration to your choices,most definately I love Tom Durkins as a very sharp commentator on horses color cloth and his ability to build up the race flow to a magnificent finish.Then on the other hand Trevor Denman will give you all the excitement from the very beginning and he his adaptable to what's going on at the finish. Sheer mark of two genius commentators at the very top of the competition in Horse races.

Justify did not win the Breeders Cup. He retired after the Triple Crown.

Flightline COULDN'T run in the Triple Crown races. Severe injuries prevented him from running as a two and three-year-old. From what we've seen in his stunning performances in all six races he's run as a four-year-old I don't think there's any way, sort of an accident, that he wouldn't have been the 2022 Triple Crown winner.

Only in your dreams, Ebay. 🤣 The "Sport of Kings" has been around for far longer than most sports and most certainly will not be going anywhere anytime soon. That being said, I will not deny that there are certain things in need of change, such as the inhumane running of a filly or colt before their bones have even finished developing, however, there IS progress being made with the health and safety of these magnificent creatures in mind and I have my fingers crossed with the hopes that this sport will only continue to better itself. As far as torture goes, the only torture occurring around here is you willfully and intentionally tormenting yourself by deliberately clicking on a video of something that you are not fond of. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Individuals such as yourself are actually quite pathetic...Pitiful...Instead of wasting your time subjecting yourself to videos of a sport you are unsupportive of and instead of wasting your time typing out negative half a**ed comments that will have zero impact on anything or anyone, why not go elsewhere? Why not watch cute/funny cat videos or something instead of lurking around here? 🙄
