Cape Malay is a subgroup of the ethnic group of South African Coloureds, a diverse group of people.

By that time malay from sumatra was part of malacca which malaysia today. They are not from indonesia or malaysia they are from nusantara. malay wellknown for they living in malay peninsula, sumatra and kalimantan/borneo. Now they spread in all around the world including cape town.

Nope Indonesian is Indonesian , ndonesian and Malaysian are AUSTRONESIAN , They have trade and religious influence from Buddhiism and some courtly practices from Hinduism , but all kings are Austronesian , not Indian . Javanese , Malay, Bugis, Makassarese, Sumbawanese, Timorese and Minangkabau or achenese.

Ironisnya suku melayu nusantara ( indonesia) yg telah andil membentuk napak tilas peradaban jaringan antar pulau nusantara lwt tali perekat bahasa dus peradabannya ( harus diakui sebagai modal nation pembentuk indonesia sebagai bangsa lewat kesutanan2 melayu yg sudah jadi pemersatu 3/4 wilayah nusantara yg sudah berpemerintahan sebelum terbentuk indonesia) malah tergerus , terlupakan dan sebagian terusir bahkan dri tanah adatnya sendiri.
