I've wanted one of these phone for myself for a long time. Recently found a mint condition one from 1989 online which now naps in my living room. I also got a small module that turns it into a bluetooth handset, which means it connects to my smartphone when I get home. So I get all my call on my Garfield phone now even though I don't have landline. I just love that! Great video, thank you for making it.

I bought a Garfield phone at a garage sale for about $5.00 in 1996 or so. I used it as a primary phone in my first house in the late 90s. I still had it and a few years ago, gave it to my friends 6 year old daughter. She liked it but it drove her dad crazy with all the telemarketer phone calls on the land line. Lately I have been nostalgic and missing the phone. Tonight I asked them about it, (for I thought it might have been thrown away) as my friend declutters constantly and many items end up on his burn pile. I was elated when he said he still had it. It was on a high shelf and the receiver was stashed in a closet. Over the last year, I was hesitant to ask where the phone was because I really did not want to know if they destroyed it or threw it away. He did admit he thought about throwing it away several times and came close to it! Tonight I took Garfield home and he is prominently displayed on a shelf in my guest room. I let my friend know, (who was born in the 80s) that these are collector items now and they are not made anymore. Tonight I sent him a photo of one which was selling on Esty for $300 dollars. I was thinking, after 26 years, and spending the $5 bucks back then, my old Garfield phone is going to be with me a long time! Thanks so much for this video. it made me appreciate what I have!
