@@Enviotonin85 someone along the family tree of a rich family was poor and had to try and be rich so that the next generation could benefit, so think of it as a priviledge that if you play the game right, you might just be the reason your family becomes a rich family. As much as people would envy them, we all should be grateful of what we have. If you think you are poor, there’s poorer people. If you think your are rich, there’s richer people. If you think you are talented, there’s way talented people. Just be contented n be grateful of our own individual life.

It is true about what you said. Two sides have problems. The successful ones quite often (if not, always) belittle and look down on the less successful ones in terms of financial situations, thinking that they will be eternally rich. No wonder many of them commit suicide when they go bankrupt because of all the bad things they have done to others. And, the less successful ones are often jealous of the successful ones due to many reasons. Some are purely due to jealousy, which is just pathetic, to be honest. Some may be the victims of those "highly successful" and "hardworking" people. Everyone knows what I mean. Lol. But anyway, cna should just put the title, "this huge mansion belongs to a rich family that I have high interests to connect with. So, i wanna kiss asses!" Lmao. Ooooppppsss buttons pushed. XD

because that's unfortunately not what our society cultivated us to be. in our capitalism and consumerism-driven world of wanting to own more and be better than others, we don't learn to celebrate what others have because we only see what we don't have. this is worsened by what meritocracy and education espouses - that if you work and study hard, all the material that you want can be yours. you won't be able to understand this if you aren't middle income + worked a few years in adult life and realize that much of this world is out of reach and that the promises of meritocracy is a fallacy in a broken system that is primarily a tool to keep us working and driving the economy forward but mostly rewarding those in the higher percentile. You would be immune to this if you find contentment outside material wealth. But this is SG, we're mostly blindly following where the money is instead of seeking genuine happiness. This content while branding Singapore as a lux place for exapts which is clearly its purpose because businessmen around Asia watch CNA - duh - it does little to please locals who see it as brandishing of monetary wealth when most are discontent with their current level of wealth and see no means of getting there in this lifetime. So it's not simple as being salty. There are socio-economic factors that you perhaps haven't yet comprehended or learnt.

because the poor had to work their ass way off from young - poor upbringing, cheap toys, public schools, no cool hobbies, being shunned upon, possibly lousy cramped living conditions, study and battle their way hard all the way to NUS NTU. And when graduated, makes a measly 3k salary. Compared to the wealth given by these already rich since the day they born. What adds to the saltiness is, SG chinese women takes the shortcut in life, aim for the rich and set in life. The sandwiched class men are like screwed all over. (Not a local, just my observation)

Wow nobody would ever have to move out. When the kids have their own kids, they would just continue living there with their spouses moving in, and so on so forth, it can house all 4 generations of this family for all eternity, with deaths of old age clearing the way for new family members etc. Very cool. I do think they could make better use of the space though, build more bedrooms instead, to house more people (extended family etc).

YuXian Wong It’s no problem really if you don’t watch. Just don’t act like your cool because you don’t watch it while others do. And I’m just trying to clear the comment because other might misunderstand the person when he/she didn’t mean it and he/she is only talking about a movie. By the way, Parasite has been winning international awards. I haven’t watched the movie but I don’t think it is polite to comment like that about the works of other countries
