A busy day on the NS Dayton District in Lockland, Ohio! Part 2

Here are the last 4 I got in Lockland, Ohio on Monday from the Norfolk Southern Dayton District.
I met up with Buckeye Freight Railin` ‪@GY51360‬ ‪@AdventureswithJoeyBoats‬ ‪@SD70AH‬ ‪@YoBoyyRyan‬ and railfans Martin and Fred.
Train number 1 is a Northbound NS mixed manifest with a great variety of cars in the consist.
Following it, we get a Southbound NS mixed manifest with NS and BNSF power leading the load!
Train number 3 is a Northbound NS mixed manifest with 2 leading locomotives and a long string of empty steel coil cars bringing up the rear.
Finally, we get a long Southbound NS intermodal being led by 2 BNSF locomotives. One of them in old school livery!

Fine group of trains. I enjoyed them all. Like the colors on BNSF and I&O. My HO gauge train set had a Santa Fe locomotive. Glad you dodged the storms. Take care. ❤

Thanks, Scott, stay Dry today. Raining cats and dogs here, bottom fell out about 5 am we have Level 2 risk today. Doctor's appt at Heart Doctor went well yesterday, they changed one of my prescriptions and it is cheaper, Yeah!!!! Have a good one my friend.

That was a great mixed manifest to start with Scott! The pipe looked like it was probably schedule 80, so it was very heavy. It was followed by some awesome plate steel! At 129 cars it was respectably long also. A wonderful train to kick things off with! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

Fully agree here in the uk cant get anywhere near the track. Up to now never noticed any warning signs about personal safety in America 🇺🇸. Very enjoyable video. Many thanks.

The railroads put up "No Trespassing" signs, but that is about as far as they go. Hardly any fences here at all.

As a matter of fact Scott, that was downright stupid to cross the tracks like that! 😮 There were so many things that could have happened to cause that guy to get hit by the train. I just don't understand people! 😮😮😮

Love how close you can get to the trains for filming , this would not be allowed in the UK unless you film from a crossing, or from a distance the tracks fenced off & cameras & tresspass signs everywhere. Love the intermodal trains we dont get many of those because we have alot of tunnels. Fab video Scott Mr Gambit. ❤😊👍

Thanks Carol! Here we don`t have many fences around the tracks at all, especially outside of cities and towns. In Hamilton, I could walk up and touch the train as it passes if I were dumb enough to do it, which I`m not! Lol

Good made video, mr 1960 Gambit. You head there a gaterunner, that happened yesterday in Belgium. The person is dead. Trains in Europa driving fast here until 160 km/h. And think when you and crowd standing against the railraod stay a way from 8 feet from the next rail. Always safe. This was a 🚆🚆👍👍💪💪👌🚆🚆. Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.

That was a great intermodal/auto rack train! It was in the 130 car range. Nice catch. By the way, Scott. The problem I had yesterday is gone. Just a guess but maybe my phone or router were downloading updates in the background without a notification. Either way I'm happy it's gone! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

I definitely can see that it's a slow go on the Dayton district, you've got more trains in Hamilton and Glendale... Hope you had a good Bowling night, I used to be on leagues for 2 years, did pretty good but haven't picked up the ball in a while... 😊

Yes, the Dayton District is slower than Glendale and Hamilton. The Dayton District is nearly dead gong North of the Sharonville Yard. I think that line only sees about 6 to possibly 8 trains a day.

Thanks Bill. I posted a link to a video in my community page that is the latest thing I`ve seen. As far as I know, they are having a search party thing down there on Saturday with volunteers to look for him and check out the lake behind house home. They think he has to be close to home. I hope he`s not in that lake!

you know Scott that really ain't foreign power we've basically got 2 railroad company's in this country NS with BNSF and the cheapskate with UP the only thing keeping them from the 4 merging into 2 roads is the anti trust laws!!

Actually, NS bought a bunch of BNSF and UP locomotives in the last year or so. Those railroads are trying to unload as many of their stored locomotives as they can. Heck, the Indiana and Ohio shortline here has just got a bunch of BNSF`s Dash 8 and 9 GEVOs to replace their EMD GP and SD locomotives.

@@1960gambit i'm not talking about just seeing rolling stock i've seen news stories where they've got agreements that basically makes them business partners and i've seen execs say it's anti trust laws
