▶️A/C Compressor And Drier Repair (Honda Civic) "96-00"🔧❄️. Honda Civic A/C Compressor and drier repair just became super easy. Here I show you step by step how to tackle this vehicle repair job. In this video I do not flush the system because this was a faulty "a/c tensioner" pulley, which wasn't shown in the video. The customer wanted to replace the a/c compressor, drier and belt anyways.
I would suggest flushing the system for this type of repair by disconnecting the evaporator coil lines behind the battery and using the flush kit in my automotive store you can find here:

I learned this years ago in my Valvoline lubie days and it is by far one of most reliable and easy ways to get some serious torque on a nut. Definitely recommend this method on really anything stuck.

This right here is why I’m watching this video. Trying to rebuild my whole A/C system and the manual basically just says "take it to a qualified technician." The whole point of the book is to be able to do it yourself ffs.

Wow 15 min to remove and install. I always knew you could remove the compressor's top 2 bolts from up top. Someone told me you have to go underneath and do it.

Unfortunately yes. There's no shortcuts around it. Once you open up the system there's no negative pressure, aka vacuum when you put it all back together. If you don't pull a vacuum the AC will not be as cold because there will be trapped air in there.

1. Don't need swivel socket 2. If belt is fine it is possible to just remove compressor without taking belt off. I've do it

Replaced my AC condenser. I know they say to replace the drier when you open the system to moisture, but how bad is it (really) if you don't? My AC is now charged and it's blowing cold, but could be colder. If I replace the drier, would this improve? Thanks

Hey boss I bpught a new Denso compressor for my 98 civic. It comes with oil in it but wanted to replace it with pag 46 uv dye. How much would I put in it? I'm also replacing the drier.

Get a measuring cup, dump what's in the compressor into the measuring cup. Then add that same amount of the UV PAG 46 oil dye back in.

Yes, I think I mentioned it in the video but I could be mistaken. Just a few plastic rivets and a couple screws and it'll come off.

tom brown Alternator has it's own belt and so does the Power steering. It's not set up like a serpentine belt.

You turned the belt 90 degrees not 180 that would be extremely loose the way you set it is perfect you just said 180 and meant 90

Hey bud got a random question I have a fully built b18 tuning on pump gas and last thing I have to get is a turbo but don't have the money for an expensive one. I'm going for 400-450 pump gas. Was looking at eBay turbos what size would I need could you link a couple different ones for me. Thanks
