The tree you guys called "lipstick Bush" is native to Brazil. Here we call it Urucum, the indigenous people use it as traditional body paint. And I think the colour gets brighter as the fruit and seeds dry out. Love your channel 😘

Our hog plums are something entirely different. They're just small plums of a dark bluish purple. This is beautiful, I would live there in a heartbeat.

Funny thing there are over 500 different types of avocados 🥑. My moms house in Florida has a avocado tree and I can’t give them away fast enough. The tree blooms hundreds a year.

@@MotherTheMountain just got back from dr BUMMED OUT! Severely damaged left ankle on a three day photography hike. Trusted a new fangled "sure loc" hiking stick that did not live up its name and I fractured my ankle in 3 places, tore tendons, ligaments and muscle. Saved my baby beastie Canon though. Had to hike back 3.2 mi steep mt trail to get ride. They just put air cast, said Im done for at least 5 weeks. They said no mt climbing. Ok, wont climb mt but will still hike n photograph lol. But your vid put a smile on my face and joy to me old heart. Thanks.

I gotta say. As much as I love seeing the goats, they are such a pain! You'd swear they haven't eaten in weeks, the way they constantly try to get at YOUR food. You and Julia have A LOT more patience than I would have with the bratty goats 😅

I believe the lipstick bush is also know as annatto yes that can be used as spice and dye .you can dry them and store them in a jar good for making wheat noodles and add them color makes it more exciting to eat.I love your videos and be safe out there! xx

You can use it as a natural food color here in the Philippines its called atswete, used to make our dishes more festive for its bright orangey color. Its better used as dried though often diluted in warm water before putting it on your viand.
