I wonder how many people realize that Elon Musk is going to be bigger and more successful AND have a bigger impact on the world than Steve Jobs in 10 years. It's funny how many don't know who he is right now. I feel lucky and prescient to be "in the know" about this man.

At least this is an entrepreneur that seems to be more concern about changing the world for the better. Some ceos are just in it for the money without thinking about the consequences on the environment and others. Oil companies are the worse, sucking up your money and making your environment more polluted at the same time

This is a CEO that use can actually be see through his eyes and see the honesty and passion that it takes to achieve anything great in life. We are tired of car companies getting bailed out and not do anything to innovative and for the population. I applaud this company for taking initiative in getting off the dirty and manipulative oil industry and help maintain a cleaner planet.

This guy seems like a genius. He should look into making Space travel more affordable by reusing rocket parts.

He speaks real easy here, I don't remember him being this eloquent at this age.

But in some interviews he says "prices must be high to get the funds for the next models, eventually prices will go down making the car more mainstream" Which just makes me happy. Hope in humanity- restored.

I'm still wondering about his clarity on what he is doing. Most people lack in that, oh man! he is really something special. He may be from rich family or whatever, but not all of the rich kids will become or be special like him. You have to admire his clarity, vision and hardwork. Unbelievable!

In regards to the fund raising question for start-up companies and entrepreneurs you really have to adopt a "this is going to be built regardless of your money" attitude. You have to create the notion that if people don't invest they will miss out. It's that simple. It's sorta like the "burn the ships in the new world" strategy.

She is a horrible interviewer, its like she couldn't wrap her head around some of his business plans and she tried to go from him at age 6 in a tree to him creating Tesla Motors haha, but still i think Musk is the best thing to happen to the auto industry since oil.

For Tesla sales, using Apple dealership approach can be good; asking why Tesla cars were expensive meanwhile Musk was going to target mass market and the answer - that is the only way to do so and considering the economic scale - was just incredible; if I had watched this interview with same understanding, then now I would have been a billionaire most probably ) good luck for him

@anarchosolar I don't think her point was comparing the electric to hybrid directly, but pointing out the market for alternative powertrains (hybrids and electric). Hybrids are still considerable options for those thinking of buying pure electric cars and vice versa, so she was placing this car in that category. He then corrects her by comparing this car with the Audis and BMWs, which would justify the cost, I mean...just LOOK at the Model S!
