Hello everybody, and welcome back to Preserved Bus Adventures!
Well it's been way too long since we last posted an update on the goings on in our miniature fleet. But that doesn't mean to say that we've not been working really hard! The Eclipse seems to have been bouncing from fault to fault as you shall see in this video, and keeping it roadworthy seems a never ending task!
We're also going to show you the B10BLE's daylight debut, as it's been off the road for so long!

Seeing this video pop up as soon as I opened the app brought so much excitement that I dropped everything I was doing just to watch it, I hope to see more of these videos more often, it’s good to see the B10BLE getting some fresh air after sitting for a while.

Hi Joe for your old bus I live near a bus restoration group called RGI Bus they are really great with customer service and I know they’ve done a few bits for Stagecoach near me. But can’t wait to see what happens next

Took me time to notice that the wheel trims were removed. TBH, First Halifax have started removing wheel trims for all their buses that are still currently in the fleet.

Brilliant vlog Joe. Loved travelling up here on them in west lothian when First bus use to run Midland Bluebird. McGill's took over the operations here in West lothian and had to take alot of the eclipses out of service due to being badly maintained by First. Definitely think you should do the Joe Ahead group livery in real life on them. One day I would love to own real bus (have over 300 model buses). Do you ever come to any events in Scotland with the buses? Look forward to seeing more updates about them.

Hi Alan! I’m really glad you liked the video. Luckily I got a really good one, other than the odd thing underneath the chassis is in brilliant condition as well as the engine. Unfortunately the odd electrical and air systems going haywire are just all part of the fun and unavoidable 🤣 When she’s a little bit more reliable I absolutely intend to bring her up to a Scotland event! So maybe we’ll see you there 😄

Jo it's amazing both your buses 60820 and 66780 I drove both of them whilst at first west yorkshire now in my opinion I would rather have the older 60820 I loved there character but both fantastic buses

I absolutely love this. Being from rural Leicestershire I’m more of an Arriva and therefore more of a DAF veg, but I have a lot of nostalgia for those B7RLEs and B10BLEs, travelling on them a fair bit whenever I visited Manchester back in the day. Hopefully these’ll be an event that’s easy for me to get to soon. Also, is the B10 going to receive the Barbie treatment soon?

Joe has returned! I know I am months late but nobody cares…!!! Well I don’t know why Joe decided to get an eclipse and not a Gemini! Geminis are awesome…!! I see why. Eclipses are smaller and they remind me of my childhood growing up here in Southampton down south! They were cut from first Southampton (themselves are dead now as of February 2023) in mid 2020. And were replaced by crappy Streetlites.

Nothing to do with the tail pipe bracket missing looks more like the silencer mountings are split so that's why the exhaust Flexi has broken. Any airleak is a fail 😂.

just a heads up from a bus driver, When you're driving, dont allow anyone in the bus to walk past your cab door as its classed as platform riding and illegal. If a VOSA or a police officer saw this video they could potenitally revoke your license mate

Hey Joe, I'm hoping to get my Volvo B7TL Gemini in August to preserve. It has an advisory oil leak on it's M.O.T certificate from it's M.O.T History. I'm hoping it'll be okay and I do have the bus????

Depends how bad the oil leak. One would hope the depot would sort it out in a year's time but well. If it's still present it won't be any better. The general rule is no more than a 75mm diameter puddle in 5min for seepage
