A cheap Chinese alternative to the Diana Bullseye

Here's an alternative to the Diana Bullseye for those on a budget. It's said that the Bullseye ZR is a German design, but was it built in China? If not this is an identical copy, other than the wording, and does a great job for a lot less money. Make sure to tighten down the inner grub screws that holds the two sliding rods and all will be fine.

2 pieces of 21x65mm aluminum from a beer can rolled up and inserted into the base mounting (using a rod at the same time as a mandrel to iron it out into the perfect tube) will fix all the slope in the slide rods. It is critical to tighten only 1 of the grub screws on each rod, the other grub screw on the same rod must be just finger tight. Repeat for the other rod, but from opposite end. This will allow for the rings and rods to flex into their natural alignment once the scope is mounted and tightened down. Oil the rods and it will slide like machined with Swiss watches tolerances. All it took was a beer and 30 minutes. I bought 2 from Amazon for $18.99 usd each (Mizugiwa 11mm dovetail mount) for my Gamo Swarm Magnum G2 and Swarm Maxxim G2 .22cal. Worked like a charm after my fix.

Thanks, it works. But when I tighten the scope in, the mount gets stiff and hard to slide forward. Edit: fixed it by loosen some more both of the front grub screws and using Teflon tape on the inside of the scope rings (my scope has the frontal mount slightly out of alignment)

Doesnt the Gamo Swarm Magnum Gen2 come with the RRR rail, which is supposed to reduce recoil impact by 90+%? I cant imagine it works though, as it is bolted down and there is also a pin .

Although de video was launched three years ago, I saw it now. Very interesting and useful. I am considering now to buy one of this anti recoil supports and particularly the one you cited Diana. Now I will reconsider. Thanks for share the video. Best whises from Spain

🇵🇹 I bought a “Diana Bullseye ZR mount. Very expensive one. For the same price, I’ve bought several Chinese ones, 11 mm dovetail and picatinny/weaver. Beautiful shots and the scopes never break.

In my case, there was a gap between the body of the support and the slide bars, but I solved it with a sheet from a beer can

I didn't realise the bullseye was also made in China. That means Diana have a bloody big price hike at their end. They are probably made at the same factory then.

I just purchased one from Amazon and mounted it to my Crosman F4 NP which is hard on scope mounts and so far this one is holding up and not moving but I would love to know how to adjust the pin stop?

the mount is set backwards a spring rifle has a reverse recoil, therefore the spring must go forward

The American Amazon prime sells them by the maker... MIZUGUWA both 11mm dovetail or weaver, $18.99. Thanks for locating another option then brand name Looks like a P3 to P17 operation.... love the quality and the price saving

12:02 -- The rifle strikes and sends the scope forward. The forward strike is pretty hard. I think the mount needs to be improved: there should be some compression springs to cushion the forward blow.

Yeah, the recoil mount doesn’t seem to dampen the forward recoil at all. Looks almost like it gets even worse. I wonder if it would help to actually reverse the mount in that scenario.

You are right. There are two strikes . First when the rifle goes back and the second when it goes forward. There should be another spring at the front. A smaller one.

Done it been there, if you want to turn your super air rifle into a 410 shotgun this is the quickest way to do it, tolerances are dire, it settles in a different place every shot. I assume that the reason the Diana Bullseye costs more is because it is made with tighter tolerances, mine went straight in the bin. ps this was before Covid arrived. Do not waste your money....

What do I need to get to allow it to mount to an 11 mm airgun dovetail? I like your video and promptly ordered one. It’s now on my workbench and I need to know how to mount it on my Diana 54 Please respond ASAP!

It should just mount to the rail, but if it is designed for picattini mount you will have to get an adapter. Most gunshops sell the adapters, but you can buy them from Amazon and some of the online gunshops.

The scope used is a 6x40 Mildot Nikko Stirling AO. The mount are designed to reduce the shock effect of spring and gas ram rifles on the rifle scope. It can be a big problem with Magnum powered rifles. It's always best to buy spring rated scopes such as Hawk or Nikko, but these mounts help absorb the shock. It's so fast that I had to slow the video down by 8x and 16x to see it in action. PCPs are recoiless, so don't require them.

When I bought my diana bulls eye mount, packaging said made in china. Cant get it to zero, tried 2 scopes bottomed out still 30mm high impact at 20 m. On an AR8

I bought the $20 ebay version of this due to my springer moving the mounts backward with other mounts. I wasnt happy with the slop amd play in the zero recoil mount. It sat crooked, moved left to right more then it should. The upper rings did not align with the base well. Thats what i get trying to save a buck. I went back to open sights

I have a 2 year old Diana Bullseye $86 US on my Weirauch, I just bought a knock off for $18. In comparison the cheap one is way more wobbly. In theory if it locks back in exactly the same place after each shot accuracy shouldn’t be affected. “In Theory” (we’ll see) famous last words

How did you attach the Anti-Recoil mount to your Gamo IGT Whisper? Doesn’t it have an 11mm dovetail?

fitted one of these and found it O.K. in the horizontal plane but when using the gun at an elevated or declined position,I found that accuracy suffered!

Yes, probably not the most accurate scope rings, but designed for the high power models that can destroy some scopes, so it would be a choice between accuracy or the life term of some scopes.

What do you think of the Gamo zero recoil mounts that come stock on their break barrels?

My scope moved off the Gamo mounts. They should have holes in the cylinder so that you can use mounts with Loch screws. That way the scope goes nowhere, although takes the full impact of the recoil.

@@airgunsniper-elite7385 The stock mounts have a vertical screw lock that keep it from sliding on the rail. I've never had the scope barrel slide in the scope rings but, I replaced my scope and mount. I've heard people say that the screws on the mounting system start backing out after repeated shots. That's probably what you're experiencing. Put some strips of electrical tape on the inside of your scope rings so the the contact points aren't metal on metal (metal>thin rubber>metal instead) and use blue loctite on all of your screws.

If you have a magnum springer that is really damaging to scopes like Diana's can be it could be worth a try. Not sure if the movement of the mounts helps the accuracy though. A good single mount would be better if it's stability you want over the shock of any recoil. I don't use my springers that much to have shot it enough to have an opinion on it, but for the price it is worth experimenting with. The Diana bullseye is what this is based on. Be sure to take it complete apart and loctite every screw except the ring screws on top . Watch this video it shows it being taken apart . Take out the tiny allen screws in the bottom of the rings you can see them at 2:20 . He just loosens them up but you need to take them complete out clean them up and loctite all of them . The Chinese knock offs are garbage,way too much play. It's actually worse to use the Chinese ones than to not use even a good Diana.The Diana's are worth every penny if you have a rifle with a lot of kick.Im using it on a Hatsan mod 135 .30 cal and it's saved my scope.
