Hill had the most yards he's ever had in a single season, while dealing with a QB carousel from injuries, AND having another WR1 in Jaylen Waddle on the team to compete with for targets, AND having an ankle injury in a few games. I'd say that's an improvement. If Tua doesn't get injured, Tyreek breaks 2000 yards last season. He's poised to do it this upcoming season too. It is crazy to see Mahomes and Hill have career seasons apart when they are the best QB in the league and the best WR in the league.

That was in 2019 same with 1969 yes easy to compare. Mahomes got hurt and missed one game. Lenny got hurt and missed one game. Both end up winning the championship.

I’m always cynical about our ability to win games, but the Bengals are one of the few teams I truly worry about. You’ve got a great one in Burrow & you guys deserve it, after the QB carousel y’all went through the last 30 years. Same thing with your receivers. Every time Lenny comes up I can't help but smile about Len Dawson. I grew up in Kansas City, and he was on the local ABC station for sports news- it wasn't til later that I found out about his many, many years presenting Inside the NFL. And knowing that he was the QB for the Chiefs during those years right before and during the start of the merger, I feel like he had to be proud to see them finally win it all again 50 years later. I'm really happy to see my hometown team succeeding again after so, so long being snakebit when it mattered most. And I'm sure Len is too, even from above. ❤

@@wc1994 my friend, i remember Marty Schottenheimer pounding away with run play aftet run play (these are the oldest games i remember as a kid). Making the game feel like it was 5 hours long, just the most boring thing you could think of. Its a new day in the kingdom. Im so happy that my dad gets to experience this.

I started rooting for the Chiefs back in Kansas when I was 8 in the old AFL days. Back then, we were always in the mix, winning more AFL titles than anyone else. Super Bowl IV was a dream for a young fan - a team full of future Hall of Famers. Then, the merger happened and we lost a double overtime excruciating, heartbreaking playoff to the Dolphins and it was like we fell off a cliff. Believe it or not, Mahomes is the first QB we ever drafted in 60 years of history that actually turned out to be good. Every other decent QB we had was acquired through trade. Guys like me have waited a LONG time for this and we are savoring it. Tom captured this season perfectly!

The only thing that would've made the DRAFT bit funnier would be if you included something along the lines of "GEORGE PICKENS WAS RIGHT THERE!" As a Chiefs fan, I was frothing at the mouth, thinking we were gonna draft him, only to take Moore (which, tbh, I am more than happy with). That aside, this was an absolutely perfect recreation of what our season was like! Good work, Tom! RIP, Lenny. This SB was for you.
