Thank you so much! Lots to learn inside and out about horses! Greatly benefits the horse whose owner takes the time to learn that there’s a real working body going on in there!!! I think horses are much more intricate and complicated than people are even aware of!🤗♥️☮️‼️

This new trend of bitless bridles is very troubling to me. I've seen horses broken from rearing by putting a bossal over that part of the nose and using that pressure to convince the horse not to rear, whereas a bit didn't have any influence whatsoever. That bossal skinned the ridge on the nose and created an open sore. Over time when using a bitless bridle the bone will thicken and change and even cause a divot in the horse's nose in certain situations. It's not a tool for a novice. It's a torture device.

This can be true for sure when used incorrectly, but I've more often seen remodeling of the bars in the horse's mouth from the use of the bit. You have to pick your poison and use it wisely.

These details Make me concerned for horses where people use bitless bridles when you think about it. The reins are hanging from that delicate part of the skull there, putting pressure on it, whether you touch them or not, and to me that's much more dangerous and uncomfortable than having a bit in a horse's mouth.
