2021 and 4 idiot sticks with no life jackets. Sorry zero heartstrings here. Huge Respect for our Rescue Teams throughout NZ And also our Police Rescue guys. All you folks are our true hero's .

It must be disheartening when you receive a distress call and cannot understand what the distressed person is saying .

i have mad respect for nz police. They are respectful and reliable, there are bad apples everywhere but nz police is just exceptional.

Wow, all for the sake of a bit of water safety equipment. An EPIRB always seems expensive until you need it and of course real men don't wear lifejackets. "We're not a rescue organization" but you did a pretty bloody good job of being a rescue organization. Well done to all involved. Glad they were OK, that bought tears to my eyes, they were so close to not going home again.

Life Jackets shouild be made mandatory with huge penalties if not carried on the craft. They are akin to seatbelts in a car and the right number of jackets per occupant should be made law

Good onya Eagle 1W and Westpac, these ones that don't take 'LIFE' Jackets, my god when are people gonna learn, they are so so lucky they had a phone, now transfer some koha to Westpac its the least you could do and the rescuers definitely deserve a beer 🍻

How irresponsible can you be to not have life jackets. That's a stupid bloody thing to do. All 4 of them could have lost thier lives. I hope to God in heaven they've learnt from this.
