you should get someone from the FA in to explain the process of actually starting a football club, this would be hugely valuable as someone starting a Saturday football team for my University.

The original Bury did merge with the phoenix club tbf, OG Bury never went extinct they just ceased operations and were expelled from the football league. They've combined both clubs history so the OG Bury's trophies and League finishes up until 18/19 have conbined with the phoenix club's titles and league positions from 19/20 until 22/23
