A book that I think you’ll love and I definitely recommend is “The Cat Who Saved Books” by Sosuke Natsukawa. It’s about a boy called Rintaro who loses his Grandfatherand, his grief process, and how a talking Tabby Cat called Tiger suddenly appears in his bookstore to ask Rintaro to help him through different “labyrinths” to save books. (That description wasn’t great but it’s about books and loving books and the power/ impact a book has and has a talking cat- need I say more?😂😅) It’s short, sweet and filled with so many life lessons and advice that you can apply to your own life.

There's a really cool bookstore in Fargo, ND that's really cool. Zandbroz is downtown and it's way more than a book shop. There's a great section for tea and mustard, and another section for skin care. And in the back there's a huge room full of vintage first editions and leather copies. You'd love that store!!

Cooking is usually fairly forgiving. Baking is the thing that needs more precision. (Though, generally, not quite as much as you'd think.) You might want to look into tips on batch cooking things that can be combined into a variety of dishes. Or do what I do and just eat the same thing for dinner four days in a row, because that's how many servings the recipe makes.

I also love to collect books about books, or books about reading, or books about authors, or books about libraries or... well, you get the idea. I have filled up about half the length of a shelf with them, but I was surprised at how many you mentioned I'd never heard of before. I also like to buy books on trips, they make much better memories than a touristy tchotchke, although my book buying on trips doesn't have a lovely theme or focus like yours does. I loved Bibliophile. I read my library's copy but I'm hoping to have my own copy some day.

My most important lessons on cooking have been: 1.From my former French roommate: A.) If you feel like something, just go for it. Worst case, you'll know what to do differently next time. Don't get intimidated by perfection. B.) Always keep the following at home: salt, pepper, thyme, cumin, garlic, onions. C.) Roasting veggies in the oven is always a good idea. 2. From my grandma: you can alway add salt, but you can never remove it. I hope this helps!

I read "Weird Things Customers say at Bookstores" the other day and it was fun. I can find some of the things costumers say amusing, but when they were actually super rude to the booksellers? Not so much! That was nasty to read. It's incredible how booksellers are able to keep a straight face with everything that people say to them (especially the rude stuff, there's no excuse for that!). There's a volume 2 out, so I'll be reading that too. I've also read "The Bookshop" by Jen Campbell and also recommend it to anyone that loves books and bookstores, especially. It makes you want to have your own as you discover so many interesting bookstores!

As a children’s librarian and a picture book connoisseur, I must disagree with you that picture books only being for children. I think that any reader (no matter their age) can find joy, wonder, wisdom, laughter, and so much more between the pages of a picture book. Authors and illustrators are able to create magic with just 32 pages. Some create magic with no words at all. I have so many wonderful examples going through my brain, but I’ll go with just these. 1. What the Road Said by Cleo Wade 2. In Every Life by Marla Frazee 3. Field Trip to the Moon by J. L. Hare 4. The Book With No Pictures by B. J. Novak 5. Lunch Every Day by Kathryn Otoshi 6. Dear Librarian by Lydia M. Sigwarth 7. Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson 8. The Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors by Drew Daywalt 9. Saturdays Are for Stella by Candy Wellins 10. Lost in the Library by Josh Funk
