Many medical sales representatives make this mistake on a daily basis. Learn a simple thing to avoid that will allow you to be seen as a medical sales professional and not just another "rep."

I worked for 25 in this industry with one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. I retired 7 years ago. You’re exactly right regarding evidence based sales, but you lost him when he handled your product during the presentation. That’s where his focus was and not on your presentation. Once a customer takes the product, sales piece or whatever he’s lost. Jmo

Hello. Is it possible to contact you? I would really want to ask some questions about the medical sales career from your personal experience. I am thinking to get into it after my graduation which is in July. I would really appreciate your time.

Very well said. Sometimes telling people about something you think they want to hear might not be the clever way to sell. Just stick to what you can offer is the best way to make a deal I guess.

When he says. Why should I buy your product. Go into scientific details. Articles and research. Saying I’m the best is offensive and vague

They focus on the part, where you mentioned the "black cat." They say never present to the customer that our product is the best. Instead find out what the customer is missing. So basically they are using your idea to the fullest. But whats weird, on this video the publishing date you have Sep 30, 2010 but we saw this video before that around late 2008 or early 2009. But they use it for new hires

He told you to present proof instead of just saying your product is "the best." He mentioned that it is evidence based medicine and that you lose credibility when you make claims such as "this is the best" because it's a conflict of interest and the clinician will think you are just saying anything to get the sale.
