You should really sale firewood through the mail...I know of a grocery chain that sales 400 pallets of firewood but keeps running out...they can't get enough.

I noticed you run a few 1/2 ton f150 do you like the size of that truck for hauling and have you thought about jumping up to a 3/4? I’ve been thinking of testing the waters out and seeing if a bigger superduty might be better for hauling and towing. Good stuff as always joe.

Small trucks are the way to go for us. I can get 20+ mpg in them. My style is to keep small, no heavy loads. I can make more money that way

Use less revs and one gear higher when manoeuvring the tractor like that and the whole outfit will be smoother and less jerky to operate.

I would but this is a Tier 4 diesel and I'm supposed to keep the RPMs up to avoid emissions probs. It has an HST transmission

Hi there, Without getting too technical, what is an average day cost you in fuel? Regular medium-duty work not all nose to grindstone type of work. So anyways, would love to hear what your overall thoughts about this platform and any numbers you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Narb. Part of my story is my new "job" is in rebellion to my 22+ year corporate job. There are some things i don't do simply because I don't want to like thorough analysis of my numbers, trends, expenses etc LOL. I know it sounds counter intuitive to a well run company (Like OWB I hope) but I see my bank account growing and my customers are satisfied so that is good enough for me now LOL. I don't know what my operating costs are for the Bobcat but I know they are very low. I have put 15 gallons of fuel in it since I purchased it. I only move logs with it so each session is over pretty quick. JOe

I've used several of the battery-powered fuel pumps, but they didn't last, so I picked up a Tera 3rd Gen pump with auto-cutoff. Just my two cents. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y56Xps2K2ti1c3U.html
