Hii There .....my husband came ti canada in 2012 on stydent visa and i came on work permit in 2016 and we have got our PR in 2019 together ...so for filling out the income information which year should I fill in as it says in last two years if you and your spouse become resident

Hi There, Thank you for your detailed Info : Question on Income section: What if one of the spouse has been in Canada already and other arrives later. My example : I arrived 2018 and my spouse arrived in 2022 ,Feb07th Since i am employed already Should i calculate my income only from Jan 1st to Feb 07th 2022 of that year too?

Hi, Thanks for your Video, this is really helpful. I have a question. I just landed a month before, I don't have Job here in Canada and I was working in India until Feb 2024 and resigned. My wife was just a student until last year. She was not an employee in India and now in Canada as well. I am also Jobless and still searching for Job here in Canada. Hi, you dont have to file this every year. You file your taxes every year through CRA. That is how they monitor your income and adjust your CCB.

Ideally, its calculated from the landing date. But, since you are a work permit holder, there is a possibility that you will receive the amount from eligibility date.

Mother's name need to be there. It is advisable to have the lease agreement in both the parent's name if staying together.

Hi, What if one of the parents didn't work. Is it eligible for the ccb benefit?. As you mentioned for newcomer only can apply for ccb after 18month of stay/work in canada. And, you also said that for newcomer can apply via email as they just landed. So, as of for me, I'm a WP holder(newcomer) and I'm going to file my tax this coming month for 2022. Can I apply for CCB via mail even I have not complete my 18month of stay? pls advise. Thank You

Hi Ashraf, citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for CCB as soon as they have a baby or they land in canada..for work permit holders, you need to complete 18 months of stay in canada to be eligible to apply. Also, the video indicates MAIL, which means you need to courier all the required documents. CCB should be applied primarily by mother as per the govt regulation.

Hi mam, im in canada for 18 months as a WP just filed PR and my commonlaw and kids came here last february 2023, then we file CCB this 0ct 2023, CRA said my commonlaw is the eligible applicant since we live in the same home, by the way mam the question is how many months of CCB payment we will receive? is this a lumpsum? since feb 2023 that the children have landed, will they start to present? pls answer thanks mam

Hi, yes the 'mother' is the legal guardian in Canada and she should be applying. You should receive the payment since your children landed. However, you can call CRA and check with them dircetly.

Hi Prakriti, CRA account cannot be accessed until you file taxes. But getting the funds directly to your bank account is pretty simple. Just call CRA , talk to the agent and update your bank details.

@@gagandeepgill8722 Hi, you need to put in the date when he became a PR, basically landing date. You have to send the birth certificate, that is a mandatory document ...Maybe try to get it couriered from India
