Here is my complete updated guide to Himeko. From despair in 1.0 to a beast in Pure Fiction and great in other modes. Her power keeps on increasing and even her signature is relevant! So I go over Himeko's best build, including relics, planars, light cones. We'll look at her builds in Super Break, MOC, Apocalyptic Shadow, Pure Fiction as well as tons of teams! whos your fave standard unit :) NOTES: I didn't specifically mention it but if using Cavalry, please use Forge for the 40% BE. As 100% BE (140% with Forge) can't always maximize the Cavalry set's 4 PC. Also do note that you'll probably want some more BE than I provided as a guide. I'm basing it off here with forge (140), RM (160), HMC Perma Buff (193), Watchmaker (223), 200%+ BE HMC (250+). And for some reason I forgot to mention the new Sunday 4* Gacha Cone from Jade's Banner, but that can be used as a Super Break option with its 56% BE buff at S5.

Nah she's the 4th, first herta when PF came, then welt for acheron sustain/sub dps/more nihility, harmony TB for superbreak, finally her with jade. Technically she also made a comeback with PF, but not as popular as herta imo

@rubya.p4437 where Himeko has her place in break meta, Herta is quite key component for remembrance freeze niche, which a lot of ppl have opted to clear hardest versions of SU expansions. Also I'd throw in the argument that Herta was valued to be even worse by most before PF was a thing.

One thing I really wish Hoyo would update with Himeko is remove the cap on her followup attack charges so if an attack breaks multiple enemies and her charge count goes over 3 then the extra charges will be carried over for her next followup attack. Just like what Jade's followup charges do.

It's not too much of an issue. It's more of an issue if you got her E4. That's when it feels like you're wasting stacks. Plus her fua can be saved for another wave of enemies which can come in handy. Wasting her fua when the wave is already broken or dead feels much worse.

For real, one of the things I hate the most about hoyo games is how they just give no support to units post release, so if someone has an issue that could be easily corrected youre out of luck fam, better try to outsource the thing that can help your fav unit insteas of its kit jusr gerting fixed, like JY Lightning lord getting stuck in another wave or Himeko caps

It would be good for her ultimate or AoE allies, but it's more important to plan the breaks to chain them instead since you would just end up wasting damage and charges by letting them all out. The setups often have some waste anyway, but it feels like you're solving an equation when you spot the perfect toughness bar break sequence, it's more satisfying gameplay.

I'm so happy Himeko gets to shine. Pure Fiction was such a good addition for units that seemed lackluster on release and all the indirect buffs for Fua since then were amazing. At e3 she's my 2nd highest Eidolon character (after e4 Welt) and as a HI3 enthusiast, I'm extra excited to build teams around her

@@zytenespada6564 hm I don't completely agree with you. We didn't have any of the sets and supports then that we use now for erudition characters. You could still make them work with enough dedication but MoC really favored Destruction units in the earlier patches

True. I spent for seele’s e1 and lightcone too and she’s kinda powercrept/sidegraded so much at this point i never use her anymore. Himeko on the other hand will always stay relevant as long as pure fiction exists and has fire-weak enemies.

@@cvang_el not if there will be some better fire based aoe clearing unit that just outclasses himeko. I respect the optimism but no unit is immune to powercreep. There could absolutely come a point where himeko just cannot clear effectively anymore due to a lack of damage or lack of mechanics that newer units may have. That's the whole reason why seele or jingyuan aren't as useful anymore, they just haven't aged very well. Granted I think himeko will age much better, currently like fine wine, but age she will.

I have mained Himeko since spending my 300 standards to get her. Shes gotten a lot better since 1.4 when Topaz came out. For a while I have been saying shes significantly better than people have been giving her credit for. Glad to see her finally getting the recognition she deserves. My 213 CV Himeko will only get stronger from here.

@@Prehistoric_Nerd Yanqing is ok now that Aventurine exists. His rng is still awkward but without worrying about losing passive he can perform. The only thing he's missing now is a freeze support (harmony or nihility instead of the sustains we currently have).

Fr. I believed in her since day 1 too😅. I remember commenting several times that she isn’t weak per se, but that her meta just hasn’t arrived yet and being told it was just cope. But from how her kit reads it seemed pretty obvious to me that once her meta arrives she would have a lot of potential since her follow ups don’t have a limit, as long as you fulfill conditions to proc them she keeps launching them non stop.

As someone who was a Himeko believer from the jump, and actually used a 300 standard selector to get her E2, I've been loving that since launch she's constantly gotten upgrades it feels like every single patch to eventually reach this point. It's been a long journey, but she's definitely meta and I feel like will be for a while.

Biggest comeback of the century. ❤ Firefly herself is a buff to Himeko so she can be a good teammate for her as well so they can both reap the benefits. Himeko greatly appreciates fire weakness and Firefly can break bars like crazy for her. Much better than some other options in fact, though you probably need to play with SP conservatively or get Eidelons/LC for further comfort.

I think Himeko's was pretty good more on the underrated side of the standard units, but Pure Fiction definitely boosted her stonks. Alongside Jing Yuan, the follow-up set boosted her indirectly, so glad to see her thriving because I remember at the start of HSR, people were shitting on her calling her the worst 5 star standard unit, but I figured in an AoE type endgame mode she was gonna be busted and here we are today lol. When Pure Fiction came out, I built my Himeko that I got when I lost my 50/50, and I never looked back. It's a great thing that they keep releasing units that buff our lovely Astral Express Navigator.

I finally hit my 300 standard pulls and was conflicted between getting Bronya or Himeko since I didn't have either. I'm glad I ended up going with Himeko since she ended up making PF brainless and I have sparkle already so Bronya seemed slightly redundant in my situation.

Himeko is the better option over Bronya (and the others too really) any time because of how much setup Bronya herself needs as a support. She's for way sweatier gameplay, I have e1s1 Bronya for a long time and literally never used her because there are more comfortable options, only now that Jade is a positive subdps I'm starting to find places to use her.

Bro kept a grudge lmao. But yes, a shocking amount of the community manages to be wrong about everything, and every patch, especially the people from so long ago. To this day some people don't know she gets instant 3 charges for breaking elites, it's bizarre. Every smart player who built her keeps reaping the rewards, and every new AoE, FUA or fire character release brings more rewards (FUA set with topaz, enemies and superbreak with firefly, and so on), she'll just never stop winning.

I remember how many times Himeko appeared on my summons. One from Aventurine, Argenti's banners and I was like "Give me the other standard characters man." She literally helped me clear many challenging content with her kit, and I don't regret my E2 Himeko now. But, I still love my Papa Welt though, slightly

(But Yanqing E2S2) I just started HSR only to play her, but after 1 months of playing, I gave up and I used a lot of my Jades to pick her from the Selector. Never regret. Exactly. I did the same (except that I has been forced to spend a lot of jades in the Standard banner for the selector during 1.1. No regrets because I literally started HSR ONLY to play her.) She + SW was enough to let me use her more than only Fire stages, and now with FF, I play Himeko EVERYWHERE I can (yep, I pulled Firefly E1 just to be Himeko support)

Hey Guoba this guide was great love seeing guide makers finally go back and update some older characters. I would love to see you go back to update the guide for Yukong whom to this day is still being built improperly and give her some love since Hoyo won't (14 patches without a rerun on a banner). Yukong is better off being built and ran as a burst dps unit then a support like has been suggested on her since her original guides back in 1.3 and I'd love to see more people realize this and realize just how strong she is because she definitely isn't a bottom tier unit or a niche support for only Imaginary DPS

I got her before her trial version even left the party in the tutorial with the 20 pre-register reward pulls. Can safely say she was always goated and I probably wouldn't have kept playing without her to fall back on unless something else could keep me engaged until the end of belobog.

I never agreed with the doom-posters, and I always wanted Himeko, because I fully saw the potential that she had. Even in those days when people were saying: "What 5* star should we pick from the standard banner after 300 pulls?" And everyone was saying: "Bronya, of course!" Even then, Himeko was always on my list. - I'm glad to have her and to see the community finally acknowledge her.

I loved her from the start. I could see how for a lot of single target content she was not as strong. But I always enjoyed her. I just ran the full fire set on her till the duke came out.

So glad Himeko had such a good buff - if I had one nickel for each time one of my favorite erudition units in HSR got buffed all the way to becoming S tier at least 6 patches after their release, i'd have two nickels (which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice). Her performance in break teams is really great and I see her becoming nice in MOC too as I bet we'll be bombarded by fire weaknesses the next patches since we had the addition of Firefly recently (and they went all the way to market her as indispensable the whole effing patch so I can only guess they're gonna keep this editorial line) and we have the future addition of Jiaoqiu, I don't know what he does but he's fire type and they most likely will put out some fire type weaknesses to make people pull for him.... She's such a strong unit that looking back im not even mad I lost once on her E1 lol Anyway, really nice guide, thanks a lot o7 I'm currently building her on my alt account so it'll be useful to see new perspectives, because even though she's built on main there are things i'm not letting go of (salsotto planars my beloved)

Chose Himeko at 300 way back just to complete my Express family, but didn't really built her beyond lvl 8 traces. And now she absolutely shredded latest Moc in Super break team, and new Pure Fiction as well, all in a scuffed af DoT set.

I liked Himeko right from the start, even if she wasn't meta, so all of her glow-ups have really paid off for me, I even got a 2nd copy of JY's LC just for her on that 2nd banner run.

Currently have Himeko E4S2 and to be honest, even on the 50:50s I’ve “lost” to her I never felt that way because I greatly enjoy using her even more so now

i started two weeks ago. Had about 180 pulls at the ready (had spend 30 on the Jade Banner before i decided to wait) But then i decided "yknow what i AM gonna pull for Jade i got enough to make it work." I spend about 70-80 pulls but got Himeko instead... And i am definetly not complaining. Heck now i have a guaranteed Yunli/huohuo so i'm doubly happy

Himeko has always been my primary unit (My account name is HimekoPrime for a reason). She's just a straight up fun character to play. Now, with Jade and Herta, there are fights and boss fights where it's not only 0 cycle, but 0 first character action. Divergent is joyous.

Thanks for these update guides, it’s a market I think many in the hsr community are lacking especially when we get new artifacts. I have been wanting to build her as perfect as I can especially since I have her and her light cone e6 and awaken 5 (not by choice obviously), just feels wrong to not use her

Himeko was my first 5* that i got from the standard banner / my freebie, and I am so happy that turned out good - I'm still using Himeko, when i've dropped Bronya from my comps. (not worth the effort to speed tune around her when I can Full Star all the content without her using easier teams.)

I just lost to Bailu on 50/50 while pulling for Yunli and decided to pull on the standard banner and the game literally gave me two Himeko's in succession with two single pullls. Now I'm here, I have her built, but I guess it's time to make her much stronger 😂

In the latest PF, a Firefly + Himeko team with Gallagher and HMC, actually seemed pretty nice for me. If I outfit her with 2pc Cavalry with some BE subs, she could be even stronger on that team.

I'm loving my Himeko-Firefly-HMC-Ruan Mei. Because Firefly puts fire weakness on every enemy, it's amazing lol i kill everything so fast.

I had her E3 on the first month of playing. 1 from the beginner discount banner, 2 from the standard, and 1 from the 50/50. Glad I can use her properly. Relic RNG is still really bad so I can’t seem to get relic sets for anyone besides Dan IL and Ruan Mei 😔

Ngl i had a lot of fun Running a hybrid of Supabreak Himeko build with Firefly e2 Firefly would break->Himeko would get to follow And this would provide firefly upon second turn to premium broken or near broken enemies for her to delete. The only thing is I have to kill the enemy before they kill me. Gave me a solid 35000.
