Since I've been seeing a lot of comments about it - Guys, the bad gameplay is on purpose. It's highlighting parts of the game I failed completely at. I didn't suck at the entire game. CAS is all about playing up the failure for laughs. I don't hate Dying Light. So share in the laughter, I don't need to hear 'man, you suck at this' for the 1,000th time. Thanks. I like that 90 percent of his complaints are due to his own lack of skill/time in game

For once skipping the side quests was actually a mistake. There are several side characters introduced that are LEAGUES better than anyone in the main plot.

Alright, so he actually IS wearing protective clothing, but it's mentioned in a random encounter that one of the people who tried to help quarantine the infected out would actually bite THROUGH kevlar and many protective layers of clothing, hinting that their teeth are sharpened.

Chris Redfield jumps off a plane into a city full of psychopats and yet another mysterious zombie virus only to forget his plot armor, *almost* lose an arm and get infected in the first 5 minutes of the game. (Just in case, Roger Craig Smith voices the mc, as well as Redfield in Resident Evil, Sonic, and a large etc.)

I played on the hardest difficulty and I was invested in the story cuz it was the only time I didn't get owned by a running group of zombie who heard my thicc ass clapping from across the map

Your mistake wqs trying to fly through the story. Your power and agility levels were too low when you reached old Town. Still funny but you should've taken your time and found more blueprints for better weapons. If you scavenge and increase your skills properly it's REALLY fun

"What a stupid ending, holy shit!" This technically isn't the ending, there is Dying Light the following lmao. This game is great imo, game play wise like, 9/10. Story wise, like, 2/10 at best. My favorite part about the whole game is Crane is voiced by Roger Craig Smith lol.

It does kinda suck because it can take a long time to level up your skills but once you do it is amazingly satisfiying and fun as hell

Commentary is great, and has a lot of fair gripes about the game. However, almost every time you complain about the game's shortcomings or mechanics, it's mostly because you're just not good at the game or because you can't read the room. The large zombie in the "battle royale" is supposed to be killed with the gas canisters by throwing the pipes you find at the containers. The end tunnel sequence is full of stuff that you're suppossed to just know how to do from the experience you got from playing the rest of the game. You're obviously supposed to grab the ladder, and you weren't able to because you didn't silence the child, which you would've known to do if you didn't brute force your way through the game. You're obviously supposed to parkour over the zombies on the raised platform, not take them all on while you have the special infected right behind you. When you complain about shit like that, it's just annoying because it feels like you're that kid in elementary school who refused to listen to instructions, and they had a tantrum when they had to face the consequences. TL;DR, you shouldn't try to shit on a game just because you refuse to do what the game tells you to. Funny Commentary though, like the Crane clones.

When you, "just killed a guy living on top of a gas station". Your game glitch out, it was supposed to be him trying to snipe you. Or possibly because you didn't activate the side quest.

And y'all could have used the camouflage feature AND your zip line pretty early in the game which would have let you advance more successfully as well as upping your skill set during your playthrough, one such skill you can develop early is a cammo skill, and a vault over skill where you can vault over a zombie or a volatile if you time it right, but this playthrough may have been just for the video, funny though :)

You had a lot of trouble with just glitchy mechanics throughout the entire storyline that I didn't see any of at all I tend to be extremely lucky in video games though for some reason I rarely ever experience any sort of glitches or bugs or anything of any sort in any of the games I play. It's lovely and I will continue to enjoy it

Just saying anyone playing this game again looting ambulances is a really good way to get medkits because they are really easy to lockpick and can have atleast 2 medkits in them

I actually love how people are playing this now, I got it when it first came out cause I love zombie games and it blew my expectations out of the park and I've been playing it to this day, I have 100% everything and have every item including glitched and hacked items cause I just love the game, it's the first game to 100% everything and I'm definitely looking forward to number 2 since I preordered it nearly two years ago, but tbh I'm just hoping they don't ruin the best parts of gameplay just for more story, I am a story person but dying light requires the beautiful gameplay and looks over story since it's replayability is the gameplay

Ah yes, the first game I ever learned to Speedrun but still have no idea about the plot

The purpose of the arena scene is to force you to use the agility and power skills you acquired throughout the game, as well as use your environment to your advantage. Sorta like a show of Cranes skills developing and refining throughout the story. I personally loved the sequence, but once i got to a certain point i stopped using melee weapons for the most part anyway.

I tried keeping up my suspension of disbelief for the first few missions. Once I got to The Pit and watched shit go completely and fully off the rails I fell in love with it, right around the point when Rais a' Roni commanded his two goons to kill Crane only to both get fucking merked on in the most bad ass way that I any care I might've had at how unbelievable it was evaporated on the spot. The game wasn't about telling a gripping story grounded in reality as our humanity is put to the test, it was about sprint-jumping across buildings with impossible melee weapons from hell as the world's most terrible, lethal force of nature.

Half an hour of CAS is very enjoyable. Love this series

What I found weird is that the stealth takedown is at the very end of the strength (I think) skill tree, and a lot of missions would be a lot easier with the stealth takedown, the closest I could get to stealth in this game is drop kicking people off a roof without being noticed

The thing about having no protective armor for bites you can find this NPC who tells you a story on how he was one of the first military squads to get deployed in the city he then says that they thought they were safe because of their armor so it actually caused all of their deaths because the zombies could bite right through it makes no sense but hey at least they gave some sort of a explanation

How could you forget the name of KYLE CRANE, One of the most ICONIC zombie protagonist, One of THE MOST BAD ASS parkour characters ever, and has one of the most in-depth perso-yeah he’s kind of boring as fuck. Also there’s no material to resist a zombie bite, they bite straight through Kevlar and all other things…don’t no why I typed this. Still find this game fun as all hell though

You skipping all the sidequests is what really made your experience kinda stink. You weren't leveled anywhere near enough for most of these encounters, especially only being level 6 at the pit.

I absolutely love this game, of course the history isn't the best, but the lack of good gameplay in here is fully your fault, you completely ignored the side quests and the skill tree, so yeah ofc you'll have a hard time getting thru it

Got to love the ending being gated behind the DLC. though in retrospect it explains the lack of cure for the second game.

There wouldn't be a point in wearing protective clothes, as the encounter with a ex-hazmat dude says the zombies could bite right through his clothing's material. Which was something probably strong enough to withstand burning and acid for some time. And there's no knowing how ready crane was for this. We don't know if he even had training.
