One will ask y Dr. Nkrumah was after him, but clearly political system was precarious @ the time! Now I’m convinced the CIA was instrumental in Nkrumah’s overthrow with the help of Dr. Busia!! Nice insight!! It’s one Ghana!! Nkrumah will forever be the all time best president…

Romeo, if it was your dad who was being persecuted, wouldn’t he take advantage of any protection offered? Danquah died a very painful death. Our politicians took sides in the Cold War.

Good! We had 200 million pounds...when Dr. Kwame Nkrumah came into power right...ok and what kind of developmental structures as well as social amenities did he Nkrumah leave behind for Ghanaians? Moreso what kind of same developmental structure did her brother also left behind for us? Yes! Nkrumah had his flaws however, he is still and shall continue to be the greatest leader Ghana has ever had.

If "the British government (Scotland yard) took reeeeeeeeally good care of Dr. Busia", then Nkrumah obviously had cause to worry about Dr Busia in the first instant, no?

Was Nkrumah right in his attempt to turn the country into a one party state? If not then the British was in the right to oppose his dictatorship and offer support to whoever was in the forefront of Nkrumah’s opposition.

Clearly, she’s trying to do damage control but we’re not naive and want fall for it. Mention what you claim your brother did for Ghana-at least Nkrumah’s fingerprints is all over the place and it’s evidential. Every effort is made at the slightest opportunity to tarnish Dr. Nkrumah’s image, but like he said himself-Nkrumah never dies and he remain the greatest son Africa and Ghana has ever seen. Jealousy go shame and wayo too go quench!

Sammens, Nkrumah left us broke. Look for the interview of J.H. Frimpong. Nkrumah cried when he found out we were broke.

Broke? How do you define such word? Yet some of you people, would say Ghana is rich and not broke...simply because we have a lot of natural resources...isn't it? Do we still have those resources? Or Nkrumah took them away.

@@Yaw558 Broke as in very little reserves if any and huge debts and negative balance of payments. Similar to the circumstances today. Economic sanctions by his detractors, corruption by his appointees, and expensive capital projects gave Nkrumah financial headache. Go and read Tony Killick’s work on Nkrumah’s era. I am a fan of Kwame but I blame all our politicians for choosing global politics over nationalism. Why did they hate each other? Why the cruelty towards the other big six and why did they all choose violence, something we achieved independence without?
