Joe did his thing with the interviewing process. I love the way he understands the importance of sitting back and just letting people talk. Never once cut Nicki off, didn't try to lead, just let the interview flow. Kudos to Joe for that! I loved when Nicki talked about the skills, pockets, flows, melodies, and everything required to create quality music. Nicki is definitely 1:1 because she cares about the craft and has such a passion and love for her work. Damn, Hip hop went from the most influential genre in music to 40% is crazy!

It is amazing how rough the industry is, and she is able to still be relevant and create more content. Why do the veterans of female rap don't give her the flowers she deserves? I know there are only a handful that actually have done so, but come on, Nicki has survived longer and is successful. Aside from that, she deserves the ongoing success.

This was soo nostalgic for me. The teenage girl was fanning out listening to Nicki discuss her evolution as an artist. I remember rapping at the lunch table with my friends! That teenage girl is now in her 30's so yes we are grown now. Love, Love, Love this look on your Joe. I love the fit and the chill vibe you were giving. So much respect to you and your craft! The PinkPrint ( A Masterpiece , but too sad for me 🥹) 5. Pink Friday : Roman Reloaded ( A masterpiece but too loud / too pop ) That is my RANK, I love all of them .

As a barb I’m so proud of Nicki. To be in this industry for 15 years and still one of the best selling female artist is a win. And with all the negative things it comes with being in the music industry I would’ve said F this I prefer peace! But I love Nicki’s resilience. You can tell she has a passion for rap she actually study hip hop. These new girls just rap for popularity or just something to get them money. But Nicki prefects her craft and takes it serious. I know it’s overwhelming for her with all the constant hate and criticism but she still going strong for her fans because she actually care about us. I hope she never fall out of love with being Nicki Minaj. Nicki Minaj is irreplaceable, authentic, creative, outspoken, brave, passionate, bold and inspiring.

Unfortunately as a man i can’t fan for Nicki like we did Kim and Foxy Brown- HOWEVER, Every female rapper literally is given 10 hot years! And Within those 10 years they may drop about 3-5 solid albums; with 2 being classics!! Nicki is now on Year 15 and still pumping out music and with the latest being a great body of work and moving NUMBERS over the new girls! It’s time to strategize come up with a plan cos unfortunately Cardi may not be the savior!! She dropped 1 album - 6 years ago!! Where’s #2? Only Lauryn Hill can pull that off!!! I hate to see Nicki going out bad with her personal life and all the other antics but this should set the tone!!!

It's just a conversation with one of the homies, "in interview form." That's what separates him from the rest. It's authentic. Being someone from the music industry, he understands that importance. Nicki has always been my favorite MC and artist when it comes to her delivery of her rhymes and the execution of her raps throughout her bodies of work. As for Joe, he's been my favorite personality since the beginning of his podcast in 2015 and I always appreciate his attention to detail when it comes to performing a great show for the fans, whether on stage rapping or on the mic talking. Whenver these two get together, it's a great look into what makes Nicki tick, what makes her smile and what makes her continue to shine throughout the dark times in her life. Plus, it brings so much joy as a Nicki fan to see her legacy be praised by someone cut from that same cloth like Joe, which is why their conversations will always be my favorite. This is the happiest I’ve seen Nicki in her whole career, she seems so much at peace and you can hear the growth in this interview. Only Joe Budden is able to bring an artist like Nicki to be able to converse openly and freely with no awkwardness, and he’s able to ask questions that truly matter to the hip-hop crowd 👏

What Whitney is to vocalists or Dolly Parton to country or Madonna to pop music, Nicki is that to hiphop. Doesn’t matter what anyone does now, she’ll always be the queen of rap.

I love Nicki Because she isnt afraid to say she is the QUEEN of rap and the best female rapper. All these other rappers scary they wanna come 4 the Queen but scared to go after artists in their own league😅😅😅 They let Cardi bully them but knows Nicki has too much to lose to send goons after them and they are NOT really a threat to her.😂😂

@@sherryhoward7298 I think when you look at people like Whitney Houston or Madonna people respect them because they’re undeniably brilliant at what they do. Nicki’s in the same category regarding hiphop but she only gets respect mostly from her male peers and that’s a weird phenomenon. Diana Ross had the same issue with Motown, she’s one of the biggest selling artists of all time, sold more records than the Beatles in the 60’s yet still gets hate from other female contemporary artists from her own label.

I'm not a Barb by a long shot but to watch this entire interview, I felt proud of her. I also kinda felt like a fish out of water when they were discussing her album, because I haven't listened to it one bit. However, it's good to hear her express her creative process for each song. She's got a handle of her craft which is endearing. She's come a long way, and I'm sure she won't stop anytime soon.

Joe and Nicki have a great chemistry. Nicki minaj isn't only a top tier lyricist and respected M C. but very intelligent and smart. Thats why she's thrived for so long in the industry. I love PF2, it has hits. And the fact that she released it without any video or lead single makes me respect her more. No gimmicks, huge budget, controversy...just allowing people enjoy the album and songs. She's so ahead of her time. When Nicki Minaj retires, female rap will be dead. This interview had my entire focus literally found a quiet space to really receive every single thing watching her body language towards each question , her intelligence is why I’m obsessed with her as well . She know how to articulately speak on everything.and also just her energy here . So dope real and just refreshing. I knew everybody was related to COD . I wish i would’ve tweeted it when i had the chance because she definitely would’ve interacted. I love this Nicki she’s overcome so much losing her father really hurt her but she chose to be vulnerable with us instead of shutting us out of that time in her life . Vogue with papa bear and the fact that Ana asked to have him . Omg that opportunity was big for Nicki so just imagine when he’s knowledgeable of something so groundbreaking. I thoroughly enjoyed this interview. Oh i love how she didn’t shy away from the “shady” questions and was blunt and direct . I love her so much i can’t wait to be in gag city in March. 💕💕💕

However, for some reason I clicked on her new album just to skim and see what it sounded like, and I was blown away. 100 percent honest I was not checking for Nicki because I am not her audience, but I found a lot of music on that album was awesome. I kinda feel the same as I fell in love with Nicki when she first came out but quickly dropped off when she switched up and became the Lady Gaga of rap. I’ve always respected her artistry and thought she was a true lyricist but could never bring myself to listen to a whole album of. Admittedly, not even the first Pink Friday🫣. I think I really only listened to PF2 bc my niece had it playing. And baby, I’m in love 😍!
