Using a short piece of branch can be dangerous for beginners. So, I recommend trying to use a long and comfortable piece, and trim it at the end. As I did in the previous video: • How To Carve a bulldog...
This time I decided to carve a futuristic robot. I've experimented with this project for some time and have a few good variations. This is easy and enjoyable for me, and I hope it will be for you as well. For woodcarving, I tried using birch (which is also good), but in the video, you'll only see basswood. The block is 50 mm in height and 25 mm in diameter. During the work, I did not take any measurements; the carving was improvised. If you are interested in something specific, ask in the comments.
Also, I made a longer version of this video (17min) for my supporters: buymeacoffee.com/smallwoodens...
Thank you for your time, and good carving to you.

About my knife:
For wood carving, I used my regular whittling knife which I made myself; the blade length is 40 mm, and the overall length of the knife is 130 mm.
