Hey Gamma. You've described grief perfectly. My brother committed suicide at the age of 23 back in 2015. Today was a day where Dad gave me his clothes back and it was like you say, an explosion of sadness. They are still with us though. It's really lovely you have his allotment to go to ❤

Thank you for your honesty regarding your Dad, it really resonated with me. I lost my sister to MS over a year ago now and, although it sounds cold and heartless, I try not to think about her too often. I still don’t feel mentally prepared to deal with the emotions that come with the thoughts of her. It’s so overwhelming. It breaks me. But equally I feel guilty and selfish because I’m not thinking about her enough 🙁 Grief is a torment. I thinks it’s lovely that you have a special place to visit, a peaceful place where you feel close to your Dad. Thank you for sharing life’s up and downs ❤️

I understand what you mean when you were talking about your Dad and trying not to think about it. I lost my daughter last year and grieving is extremely hard and so physically and mentally draining. I find talking to the camera helps, because no one is there and I can say what ever I want. Big hugs ❤️ xxx

My mum passed away in January and I’m in exactly the same phase as you. I do everything I can not to think about it and then every now and again it just overwhelms me. It’s so hard to deal with. You’re not alone and you make me feel like I’m not alone too xx

Yeah I feel like that about my nan and grandads grave. Its beautiful there as its next to a tree with wind chimes on and pretty decorations. But it's hard to go as I love them so much and miss them. It's been 16yrs for my grandad and 11yrs for my nan. But it doesnt matter how much time goes by they are still fresh in my mind. I was so close to them. Closer than my actual parents. I want to make more effort to go there too. As I do feel close to them when I do go. Totally get u there. Hehe teddy yes perfect timing my cat always knows when I get emotional and there she is to comfort me. I can see the hurt u still feel when you talk about your dad and I can relate so much. I know that feeling. Lots of love. As always enjoyed watching your video. You make a difference to peoples lives. You help to motivate people and they enjoy watching you. I get exactly how you feel Gemma. When I lost someone close to me, going to the place where I last saw them made me feel at ease but also making me feel kind of tense considering that they weren't there. But consider your Dads allotment as a place where he left things for you to look at and discover, maybe do it up from time to time, with lights and decoration and fresh plants, that way it still makes the place seem alive. have bonfires with your family at the allotment, (my mum has an allotment so we do this yearly). but I promise you it will get easier xx

I just adopted a 2 year old cat yesterday!! He is so precious!! He was a stray and had bad eye infection and now only had one eye and we think he is blind but he is my love!

Hugs n love Gemma. Everyone deals with grief differently. You need to do what is right for you. I wake up every morning and tell my mum how lucky I am to have her as my mum. I say that to my furbabies who have passed too. I struggle every day. I take comfort that I am part of my mum and she lives through me and my siblings. Hopefully you feel the same about your dad. His legacy lives through you ❤ Bless you. ❤
