A Couple of Hours in Belen New Mexico

3 жыл бұрынIn between hockey games at a tournament in Rio Rancho, I took a few hours to get down to watch trains out of Belen, NM, a major pit stop of the BNSF transcon line.
During these few hours on June 5th, 2021.. this is what I saw….

Very busy. The folks at Virtual Railfan have a YT camera there near where the first clip was taken. (It’s actually in the shot.). Not much action there, so went to other end of the yard. 👍🏻

Wow, that's alot of train traffic in a short time ! Your a rail fan like me. I love to watch trains. My wife thinks I'm crazy !

Great arial catch on the war bonnet! Must of been an intermodal facility close by. - Jason

It is one of the main ‘pit stops’ along the former Santa Fe transcontinental line from LA to Chi-Town. Virtual Railfan has a camera there at the Harvey House you can watch on KZfaq any time. Wanted to watch big trains for a while. Haha.
