great video Pete some great footage there matey , loved the t shirt thats the good news the sad news is as said below by Simon Ratcliffe will stop producing Lekky end of September, but they never said what is replacing it .At the moment it feeds just over 2 millions homes its going to take more than a few solar panels and few turbines spinning around to meet that target , i can see the towers from my back garden and i cant see anything being built around here to replace it so im not holding my breath just stocking up on candle's so im sorry mate you can't was yout t shirt for another 3 months 🤣. Thanks, Syd. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's definitely going to be a sad day buddy when they close it down. The mind boggles with such stupid ideas like this. You watch it will be the worst winter ever soon, and let's just see how that goes, lol. We better get the candles in, lol. Well looks like Deax will be burning more coal from September then....... glad you like the shirt lol

Fantastic vlog I saw that coal train on the perimeter rails at Ratcliffe on Soar power station later on. I thought it was supposed to be decommissioned! 2025. There’s no joined up thinking. Like your T shirt can they be bought? Coal is King

COAL IS KING. I was born near a Notts mine and remember when Ratcliffe PS was new though we were living near Lancaster at the time. Getting rid of the last coal fired PS ain’t gonna make a jot of difference to the environment. Why could they not convert to Biomass like Drax or is that too ridiculous to contemplate

love your vids Pete, but 'coal is king' ...of what precisely? time moves on and if we want a safe planet for our grand kids we have to move with it. Scotland is 100% renewable and the UK as a whole is about 40% and increasing. It's a nice sentiment but it's got to go.

Thanks, Martin. And many thanks for your imput. I use Coal is king, a lot as a reference to times when it was, and the slogans were Coal is King. Been of a generation myself, who can remember this and coming from a Coal mining family. As alot of people on here . It's of a memory.
