@@treedude4246 Ideally they would put said dots on something like a Green Mage. Y'know, a Final Fantasy class that has traditionally had some sort of DoTs in their toolkit. I've never understood why two iconic classes like Bard and Summoner even had the things as a core part of their damage rotation to begin with. But I am also fairly traditionalist when it comes to Final Fantasy, so many wont agree with me. Don't get me wrong I love classes like the Reaper and Sage, but if Square is going to use iconic classes that have regularly appeared in previous titles the least they can do is make an actual effort to keep the theme of said class similar to previous titles.

Yalls right, I haven't looked at everything but the only DOT I know of is on the paladin, which is a AOE DOT with a potency of 30

​​@@solaris8260MNK has one, Demolish, which they can apply when in Coeurl stance. And WHM has Aero/Dia, which lasts 30 seconds so it should usually be up unless they really can't squeeze it in because everyone is standing in the fire. I haven't played every class yet so I'm sure there are others.

When he low key called them supports I laughed hard. Ranged used to be only bard and bard's LB used to be a healing one. The songs also used to buff your allies by far larger amounts. Hell the mage's ballad used to increase mana regen for the group.

I can't wait for him to release the full song.

I enjoy the Dancer quest too but I most enjoyed the darkknight Level 30-50 quest. But every Job quest is good when you like it:)

The job quest was okay, but what i really liked was the Dancer's capstone quest at 80.

Yeah, dancer does a good job of justifying itself. They are basically societal surgeons, and they learn how to fight because...well... just ask any sage. The tumors around here fight back when you try to cut them out.

Best range limit break 3 too. It just sounds so good when it hits.

As someone with all regular classes at 90, the best way to level a class is to do your roulettes and do fates/ beast tribes while you wait on queues. That's honestly the long and short of it. Everything else is just how much time you're willing to put into it.

I'm glad you enjoy it because to me that was the least fun job I've tried so far. Though I do like it for soloing Fates or hunts

Unlock scholar too, even if you don't plan to use it straight away Summoner and Scholar level up at the same time since they are linked to the same base class. So when you do decide to give support a go you will already have a leveled healer to try out.

@@Hammybread You don't have to actually have Scholar unlocked to get the extra levels, it'll be the same as your SMN level even if you only unlock it once you're 90

Ranged dps starts very dull compared to other dps classes, especially if you choose ranger/bard as your starting class; but definitely keep at it! Once they pass 50 and start getting more of their special moves they are a blast to play.

@@caosisaac I am indeed starting out as Archer! Currently level 18 and on MSQ level 15. I really like Archer so far, so I'm definitely keeping it going. I look forward to getting to higher levels for sure! Once I start unlocking those songs, that'll be a real treat.

@@mythicmysticmoon im glad you are enjoying it! Another special thing about bard you may already know that jocat mentioned is theyre the only class that can play instruments. What he also didnt (probably for legal reasons) mention is there are sites you can find where you can copy scripts to auto play certain fan created songs so you can put on grand performances if you want! I dont have a bard yet myself but its close on my agenda to level and i plan on snagging a few harp or piano covers of some kingdom hearts songs to play at my leisure haha. The ranged dps i have the most experience with is my lvl 80 dancer.

I, myself, play clarinet and already have a bunch of songs from video games and movies and such that I transcribed written down. So I have a good repitoire to go through.
