The Chosen Exposed Documentary: • The Chosen Exposen - T...
In this video I critique seas 1 & 2 of The Chosen and show you the unbiblical and very concerning teachings of The Chosen. I will do a video on the chosen Christmas special in the future. The Christ of the Chosen is a false Christ that does not represent the true Christ of the Bible. Jesus warned us that in the end times many false Christs will arise and we must be careful to make sure we are not duped by any of them, even fictional characters in popular TV shows. The truth is Jonathan Roumie, the man who plays Jesus, is a Freemason and a Nights Templar. He is a heretic who needs to be exposed. Dallas Jenkins is a complete fraud and a Judas who wants to unite Christians with Roman Catholics and Mormons. The cast of The Chosen has a massive influence on the lives of many people and they are leading many people astray. We need to be careful and make sure we expose everything unbiblical about the TV series "The Chosen". Also, watch out for the chosen Christmas special.

Dude it’s a tv show, of course they have to add in things. I don’t understand how everyone is judging it because it’s not perfectly precise. Ya’ll acting like you could create a perfect depiction of the gospels. People in the faith can’t even decide on things. Entire religions (Protestants for example) have been created because they couldn’t agree, and you guys expect a show to be perfect? Lunacy. Apparently everyone is perfect, they follow the word of Christ to the T and never sin themselves so they judge this show.

If you take the time to check out this beautiful series of the life of the apostles and you learn the heart of Dallas the director, you will see a blessed show and a biblical account mixed in with the humanity of the times that we know of through many historical writings. He also consults with 4 religious leaders as he and the crew go forward with a first time ever series of the life of Christ through the lenses of the gospel accounts of Christ Jesus. This series is bringing the hope of salvation to many in the world today. And wow at a time such as this.

@@wademartin4353 so what you are saying is it's based on a true story. Which means they can put their own spin on it. Just like any other programs films based on real life. It doesn't mean it is a true representation. Just their own take on it. If you look at other religions or even cults that have their way of interpreting the word of God many are completely different to what the Bible says. And it is dangerous to show young, new Christians this because they may not know enough of the Bible and believe that the program is the truth. But really it is a made for TV movie so it will have to be worldly.

The way The Chosen portrayed John the Baptist in season two is when I drew the line. That is when I decided to take the time to look further into this series. Its sad to see so much judgement about a show thats literally bringing millions back to faith, who had left and lost all hope. You might say, "because it's innacurate to scripture." You mean the scripture written by man, interpreted by man with our inperfect understanding. Why do so many people tear down something that brings people back to faith because it does not match their beliefs. You really think Jesus is going to return and say, "You got it totally accurate so you can be forgiven." @@paulquestel8516 Everything you wrote is very reason why this show is so deceptive my friend. This show misses the very foundation of the gospel which is repentance. If I had watched this show when i was agnostic i would have liked this Jesus, and then i would have carried on with my life thinking all was good and i was right with God. The very thing that brought me to Jesus was the conviction of sin. I understood that I was guilty before God and on my way to hell, so i repented and surrendered my ENTIRE LIFE to Him. This is biblical faith, it's not a mental belief but a surrendered obedient life to the will of God. When I did this He radically transformed me and set me free from addiction, lust, low moods, vanity, anger etc. The true gospel SAVES. The false gospel tickles your ear and gives you a false comfort while you are in your sins when in reality you are headed to hell! True love warns. May God bless you, and reveal himself to you! @@101marsi I agree. You wrote, “They probably just find it entertaining”. I think this right here is where the problem lays. The gospel of Jesus Christ was not meant to entertain us. Romans 1:16 describes it as “the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes”. The Bible warns us about not making graven images so that we never conflate the two (an image from the mind of man versus scripture). It’s a slippery slope when we go down the path of, “I see Jesus like this” mentality rather than scripture alone. And speaking of the image of Jesus.... Jonathan Roumie seems like a nice guy, but it’s weird watching him portray Jesus (actually it’s weird seeing any dude portray Jesus). Anyway, Jonathan seems to always be wearing a skull 💀 ring in his interviews. It’s SUPER WIERD AND SUPER SUSPECT (especially since I just saw Jonathan talk about how he was accepted by the modern day Knights of Templar... the Knights of Templar were Luciferians). Since Jesus described himself as the Life, why would anyone claiming to be his follower choose a symbol of death 🤷🏾‍♀️ to associate themselves with (with the exception of the cross, because we know this was a mechanism that Jesus used to conquer death).

Luke 6:17ff this version is a sermon on the plain. It's delivered to the disciples AND a larger crowd of followers. It's similar to the sermon on a hillside in Matthew, but also different in major ways. So The Chosen didn't necessarily make a mistake in that regard. I personally don't have a problem with the idea that Jesus prepared for or rehearsed his very important message. That he would have done it spontaneously is more a stretch for me.

Not only do the writers and producers of the show play fast and loose with the source material (The Bible), but also that Jonathan Roumie brags about the fact that he was "knighted" as a Knights Templar is should be extremely alarming to anyone concerned about heretical and false doctrines, for the Knights Templar were themselves a precusor to what became known as "Contemplative" (esoteric) Freemasonry. And if you really delve into this "secret" organization, you will find that the "God" they worship is NOT YHWH, but Lucifer. And THAT is the big secret of Masonry. There is even a Knights Templar degree in the upper ranks of the organization. So who's hoodwinking who here?

I love that those that criticize the show are the same ones watching other shows such as Stranger Things or secular shows and listen to secular music… it’s ridiculous how we are so quick to attack each other but leave the enemy alone. Absolute Pharisees, those that hated Jesus were well aware of God’s law, sounds like you worship the Bible rather than the movement of the Lord himself. Nothing here twists the word of God in any way, they enhance its credibility and add lines to give the audience a better understanding and context of a verse. An example is when Jesus explains to Mathew what he means by the salt, Jesus obviously never says that in the Bible but it’s context for the audience. If you take this show literal then you will have trouble understanding that it’s a show that revolves around the disciples more, hence the name “The Chosen”. It is meant to show how we can relate to the disciples. Use discernment not judgment, God Bless You all.

My husband and I recently starting watching the show together. I actually started watching it a while back, but never got around to finishing it. At first, the one thing I somewhat appreciated about the show was how they showed Jesus to appear ordinary looking as said in Isaiah 53:2. After re-visiting it, and seeing some Christians warning about the show, it is indeed VERY "fan-fic-y" and there are too many unbiblical things in the show that I can't ignore. We're gonna continue watching the show (mainly for taking mental notes to compare with what Scripture actually says lol), but will alert my husband and others in my church who adore this show to beware of what it's promoting. This ain't the real Jesus of the Bible, guys. Stay in the Word, and you'll be protected from this deception. Thanks again, brother!

My wife and I are doing the same thing. This is such a tricky thing for me to critique. We’re very grounded in our faith and have been for years. We took up this show because we’re always interested in anything that claims to be “religious.” We enjoy the series and how it portrays certain things. We can see how it can lead people astray from Scripture. However, in our cases, it just leads us to pick up our Bibles more and dive deeper into the Word to see how faithful the show is being. The series has also brought a couple of our friends to want to know Jesus, and that is pretty neat. Dallas Jenkins is always quick to tell fans/people to go to Scripture, and not to treat the show as God’s Word.

@@ComedyBros5 Yes, it can be tricky. And that is pretty cool that your friends are wanting to know more about Jesus. But for anyone who comes to Christ through this show, it's important they hear the gospel and know the true Jesus through the Scriptures instead of letting Jenkins' Jesus be their image of Christ. But overall, the more we read our Bibles and know it well, the more capable we'll be in pointing out false/incorrect portrayals. Then, we can bring up the real Jesus! I think it'd be healthy to have conversations after watching an episode, and go back to Scripture, too. Yes, I appreciate that, as well. Although, I'm rather troubled of his major support for Mormons, and calling them our brothers/sisters in Christ 😬 I'm currently reading this article about the show from "Famine in The Land", feel free to check it out! fitl.co.za/2021/05/19/the-chosen-the-shift/

@@ChipmunkPunk98 Wow. I take back all I said (but the series really did bring a few of our friends to want a relationship with Jesus...so at least one good thing came from such a twisted production). Thank you for sharing that article - nothing but facts that absolutely can't be ignored, and we're incredibly disappointed we missed the strong Mormon beliefs and principles scattered throughout the series! The show is quickly dropping Jesus down to just be a "great prophet who can do great things." It does well by showing Jesus' humanity, but there's not even a slight bit of deity to Him. Again, thank you. And here we thought this was finally a decent series we could watch that wasn't tied to Amazon Prime, Netflix, HBO, or Paramount. My wife and I do believe that Dallas began the production with good intentions, and we really enjoy Season 1 as a whole. However, after re-examining Season 2, it appears that his Mormon influencers really began to clamp down on him and the tone completely changed from it being about "Jesus and His Disciples" to being about "the Disciples and a great prophet named Jesus." I think Dallas really let the fame, money, and his Mormon vices take control, and doomed him for disaster.
@ComedyBros5
@ComedyBros5 2 жыл бұрын
@@ChipmunkPunk98 BUT, the funny thing is that there's still things about Season 2 we enjoyed. There is a moment in Ep 1 when Jesus is found repairing a man's wagon wheel, and that was incredibly awesome. There's also a moment in Ep 3 (I think) where the Disciples (after doing nothing but wrangling people in all day) get into an argument of something ignorant, and then they're interrupted by Jesus walking to his tent after his tremendously long day of doing God's Work. For me, that moment really hit me hard. We're always busy arguing over pointless nonsense that does NOT matter in the grand scheme of things, while Jesus is hard at work in our lives/those around us. There are still some good things about The Chosen, I guess...but it's definitely heading down a slippery slope with all this Mormon influence.

This critique of The Chosen is so timely and is a revelation. After watching season 1 with eager anticipation, I continued with Season 2 sporadically; when I viewed the scenes leading to Jesus’ great sermon on the mount, that is when I concluded the show had lost its way and I will not resume watching it again. The scenes of Jesus rehearsing and struggling with what to say in His sermon, with “direction” from Matthew, just displayed how much this series diminishes the divinity of Christ. It really does propagate a subtle heresy. Thank you for your keen, Scriptural analysis. Jesus Himself foretold that in the last days would come great deception - so persuasive yet subtle enough to deceive even the “very elect” of God. I pray more viewers will have their eyes and minds awakened to the truth about this series.

I can’t believe people are able to dislike this show and not appreciate it for the gem it is. I’m shocked. And then you think there’s “Freemason” and “Luciferian” involvement? Yes some things may be different than the Bible, but that’s up to YOU to read your Bible and know when. Taking the “creepy John” thing so out of context. It wasn’t mocking John, it was taking a guess that not every Israelite at the time viewed his lifestyle as fully agreeable and was just how they wrote Peters character, who they wanted to portray as flawed. It may be too far of a joke for some but it’s nowhere near blasphemy, they clearly portray John as godly, a man Jesus incredibly respected, and someone that a lot of the people revered and listened too. We have no idea how Jesus made his sermons. Despite what this guy says or what you all may think, receiving your words from God doesn’t necessarily literally mean having words downloaded into your brain to say, or God using you like a literal puppet while you black out and he literally speaks through you. You can be “inspired” by God and share the message he wants you to speak in your own words. I’m sorry this is all ridiculous, long live “The Chosen” and every sincere and researched attempt at bringing the Bible, and New Testament to the TV screen. It’s helped my learning so much as reading a book the Bible, then watching that same book but as a tv show/movie helps to remember it so much, and when there is a change guess what, I can take note and still appreciate the show. Every Christian show falsely portrays the Trinity and Jesus being God himself, his own Father, as true and yet I can still enjoy them and even have them be educational…

So no, I’m not just dismissing this show just because a potential Mormon, or Mormon sympathizer, made the show. His willingness to consider some Mormons as wayward but potentially true brothers is admirable. Some things I noticed was also in the Chosen Philp went looking for Jesus vs in the word of God in John 1:43 Jesus came to Philip and called Philip to follow Him. Also in the Chosen just as with Peter portraying him as doing certain things in which is not recorded in scripture, in the same way Mary Magdalene is shown in the Chosen after she started following Jesus she returned to the bar, the same bar where she use to be a harlot, there she was gambling. Scripture doesn't record such an event that Mary turned back to that and hustled people out of money gambling. Peter and Mary were very real people and to portray or accuse them of certain horrble things in which they did not do is not only a lie but it is defamation of character. If you are a born again Christian why would you want to be guilty of defamation of character of a brother and sister in the Lord, as if you are truly a Christian then Peter and Mary is your brother and sister in Christ. Also Jesus being unsure of what to preach in the Chosen when preparing for the sermon on the mount which in doing so questions Jesus' divinity. When I heard about all this stuff about Mormons , masons,and catholics all being involved. I was pretty much done with the show. The producers and actors even met with this recent pope..the same pope that backs and promotes this one world religion. Thanks again God bless

I understand that chronological correctness and literal interpretation is important. But this show isn't meant to be taken so literal. Everyone but Jesus is a sinner. No one is without sin. Not every sinner is a Saint, but every Saint was a sinner. I believe, it's the message that is important, love God with all your heart. Love thy neighbor as yourself. Seek a relationship with your creator and absolve from committing sin. It's a daily practice. Read his word and don't rely on biblical entrainment, but if this show brings people to Jesus and allows for better understanding for what He wants for us then so be it. Know one knows the personal conversations that took place between the humans of that time. The fact that more Bibles are being opened because of this show is purpose enough. Praise Jesus.

I feel comfortable looking past mistakes made by producers of this type of show. So much happened during Jesus' public life that wasn't written down. I doubt any of it is intentional. No movie or TV show should be taken as gospel. Even John the Apostle said in John 21:25 . "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written."

Sadly .. i think the only reason some Christian’s watch it is because there’s nothing else to watch. But I believe anyone who has read the Bible can easily see that this show isn’t biblically sound. I have noticed that they call John creepy and not just in this show but I’ve seen memes on the internet by other Christian’s where they say if he was alive today he’d be creepy or weird! And I get it.. but at the same time I don’t see how that’s funny. I’ve only seen some episodes but surprisingly many Christian’s started speaking against it so I applaud my brothers and sisters for that.

The irony, because so many things have been pushed through sinc ethen, esp in the Church. We all originally thought that they were only talking about the Covid. Get used to different...basically now means exactly just that...nothing is the same anymore. We must accept this new, modified "Scriptures" too now...Exactly what we can see we were being warned about in the very same Bible. Interesting that the guys involved in making this movie, are also expressing themselves as "being different". There is the Biblical Scriptures inspired by the Holy Spirit, and now we have to contend with the "Scriptures" inspired by the likes of the "different", and the great harlot itself, Hollywood.

This is a heretical representation of Jesus, a false Jesus. The true Jesus doesn't need a script-writer. The true Jesus is NOT the Americanized Jesus. And thank you so much, ithink Biblically for showing this to us!!! The Bible itself says we should not add to God's Words (the Bible) so that we don't get reproved and punished. I have an awesome testimony regarding this topic! Thanks for your previous video on this; it spurred me to be a benefit to a dear brother of mine! A month ago, my friend (the dear brother) asked me about The Chosen, and I basically said the Bible makes it obsolete because the Bible is better. But then, after seeing your previous video on this, ten days ago, I told him I was wrong and no one should ever watch it. I referred to the scene of the Samaritan woman as being turned away from the beauty in the Bible and twisted into some creepy Woke struggle session. Just today he messaged me thanking me for guiding him away from it and referred to it as "false teaching". He told me he had been concerned it may be Mormon. Given the timing and his words, I wonder if he may have seen this video today, which I would not expect, but yet maybe it is so. He also told me the "stigma" of the world is on him and he does not want to remain in that. I think he meant the influence of it, perhaps the word "taint" would have been better, but I asked for clarity so I do know what he meant. I'm encouraged that he sees the distinction between worldliness and the blessings of Christian obedience, and that he desires to follow after Jesus. We have agreed to do a Bible study in January, and, if he finds it productive, we can do another. I happen to be enabled to offer a very powerful Bible study, so I'm hopeful that we'll get a cartoon snowball rolling down the hill and he will grow in the Lord from then forward. I was dreading telling him that no one should ever watch The Chosen, because he wanted to enjoy it, but I was obedient to the Lord and look what happened!!! Over a few weeks he came to accept my counsel and thank me for it, and now he is looking forward to Bible study instead of looking forward to The Chosen! Hallelujah praise the Lord! And it never would have happened without your previous video on this (and this one, if he indeed watched this one). One Body many members!! I thank God for the true Brethren. I so love the Brethren, serving and being served and loving and being loved... amazing stuff. Praise God.

You really think Jesus is going to return and say, "You got it totally accurate so you can be forgiven." I think he would say, you all did the best you could and none of you got it perfect, but your faith (in your own way) is what I was looking for.
@NicholasproclaimerofMessiah
@NicholasproclaimerofMessiah Жыл бұрын
@@paulquestel8516 The Gospel is what should be central. I have become more Gospel-focused in the year+ since I left my original comment. The Chosen presents a "Jesus" who is both the "Jesus" of false gospels as well as perhaps one could impose their own idea of the true Gospel onto that "Jesus" where the show does not actually convey it. The book of First John opens by emphasizing that Lord Jesus is synonymous with the Gospel, such that to believe a different Gospel is to believe in a different "Jesus". We don't have to be correct about Lord Jesus' tone of voice when he called those who offer a false gospel "vipers", but we do have to believe the correct Gospel which expresses the character of God in Christ Jesus. Romanism as declared the Gospel to be accursed, in the Council Of Trent, Canon 9. "Session 6, Council of Trent, Canon 9 If anyone says that the sinner is justified by faith alone, meaning that nothing else is required to cooperate in order to obtain the grace of justification, and that it is not in any way necessary that he be prepared and disposed by the action of his own will, let him be anathema." Mormonism also has a false "Jesus", and yet the show has now inserted explicitly Mormon words into the mouth of the "Jesus" on their show. Even if an angel from heaven declare any other gospel unto you, let him be accursed. If even a television series preaches a different gospel unto you, let it be accursed. And so, God has declared in the book of Galatians that he curses the television series The Chosen. It is what it is, God does what He wills; God is right, and we are wrong. The idea that a believer can lose his salvation, also specifies a different gospel (according to 1 John 5 v10-15, of which the correct interpretation is made clear by a cross-referencing John 11 v21-27). I specify this, because even if the very KZfaq channel which I was once pleased with should preach a different gospel, then God curses that KZfaq channel as well. Upright is the gate and Narrow is the Way which leads to life, and few there be who find it. Flattened is the gate and broad is the way which leads to destruction, and many there be who enter thereat; therefore, I cannot recommend citing The Chosen's numerical success as a shield against criticism. If it presented the true Jesus who curses false gospels, then I would fully support the show. They want to broaden their audience, so they have laid the gate flat. That which brings forth thorns and thistles is rejected, near unto cursing, whose end is to be burned. Paul, the Gospel is what matters, it's the water of life which God offers, and it is enough to satisfy; and, so, I hope God will bless you to focus on the Gospel, to His glory through how it benefits yourself and others.

You do realize that the “human side” of the disciples is the made up bits right? Also, I’ll say that it’s not nitpicking to compare a show about Jesus to the stories of Jesus in the Bible. I’d say if you feel that’s nitpicking and you love the show than you probably haven’t read the Bible. I was a “bits and pieces” believer prior to a few years ago. I grew up in church my entire life but never read God’s Word for myself. Compare the show to the Bible and then see if you’re willing to defend it. The hardest part was seeing how they depict John the Baptist! This show makes it seem like the disciples were just like us with the same struggles, the same temptations, etc and that’s just not true. Adding the sins that we let run rampant fill a show about a completely different time isn’t adding “fresh perspective” but instead it’s adding an incorrect perspective about Jesus’ ministry. Making stuff up for entertainment should never be ok when it comes to the story of Jesus. For me this show is on the same level as the blasphemy that is “Jesus Christ Superstar” and that’s sad to say knowing Christians crowd-funded the show.

You really think Jesus is going to return and say, "You got it totally accurate so you can be forgiven." I think he would say, you all did the best you could and none of you got it perfect, but your faith (in your own way) is what I was looking for.

@@paulquestel8516 Entertainment (TV shows/movies) cannot bring anyone closer to Christ unless the Holy Spirit is involved. Since the developers of the Chosen are Mormons, I can assure you that the Holy Spirit (the one and only God) is not involved in this project. If you want to know what Christ will say when faced with those that put their faith in TV shows like this, read Matthew 7:21-23. He is not interested in "how we do it/in our own way" by that logic, every Buddhist and Muslim can enter heaven. there is only 1 way which as Christ clearly states in John14:6, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Great discerning work in this video. I would like to add another point of interest: I have stopped watching the show a while ago from the time I saw Mathew helping Jesus with the content of the sermon and watching Jesus rehearsing his words. Now I want to point out an episode where Jesus helps and heals the thug that robbed and left a man for dead. In this episode, the Parable of the Good Samaritan is shown as an actual fact when the bible clearly says it was a parable which is a story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson told by Jesus in the Gospels.

Wow, that part is shocking to me. I can't believe the Christians I know that are in love with this show are ok with Jesus even preparing a sermon let alone getting help. I always see him just speaking the words of God, not sitting there planning sermons.

I had never even heard of this series. So many always trying to "improve" or find "new ways" to explain God's Word. Thank-you for this video- definitely needed. So much deception out there already, A "comedy" version of the Gospel is the last thing those who are not yet saved, just beginning to explore Salvation or are newly saved need is something like this portraying some of the most faithful men and women to have ever walked this earth! God Bless 🥰

Months ago a friend told me to see this or these. She was so excited. Alarm bells went off immediately. As one comment stated, people assume that if it about Jesus it's true. Not so. Always compare it to the Word. Thank you for this.

Thanks for posting this....I have been wanting to watch this and was about to binge watch this during the holidays. Will encourage others to watch The Gospel of Matthew instead. It is a movie I watched years back and it's script stuck with purely with Scripture.

Has anyone compared the story in the chosen to the Book of Mormon itself? How similar of a story is it to the one that Joseph Smith made up? This is definitely a disheartening thing to see to say the least and this needs to be shared everywhere! Thank you for putting this video together because I have family that “religiously” watch this show, no pun intended, and I am sharing it now! Always remember to maintain your heart to help others and remember that other people’s lives and upbringings can make it hard to not be deceived. My eyes were closed to the blasphemy that I was taught at Gateway Church, of all places, sitting under the teaching of Robert Morris thinking I was being taught the Bible until realizing it was just his warped view of the Bible. It took years before I opened the Bible and discovered God for myself that my eyes were opened. People need help now more than ever! Keep doing what you’re doing sir and thank you!
