When it ends, will I live alone in the names of appliances? How does one traverse the guts of the earth so that there is no problem? Is this a sickness that shoots in an electrical wave from all dishwashers, or just mine? Please call me tomorrow, General Electric. There will not be much time. I have so much anxiety. This is what I have always wanted since I first heard A Cruel Angel's Thesis when watching Evangelion. I like the original, don't get me wrong, but it started out so epic and angelic (pun not intended but it is the most appropriate way to describe it) and then went into a faster pace. I finally have my slow, beautiful and Angelic variant. Thank you.

LCL isn't orange juice, it's Lilith's blood... it might be the color orange in the original series but in the new rebuild movies it's red (they also changed the ocean from blue to red in the rebuild movies). Still, red is the same color as blood orange juice, which tastes better than regular orange juice. You should try blood orange juice sometime... most popular fruit juice in Italy, if you ever visit Italy you'll probably get that type of juice with your breakfast... and of course it tastes good because blood orange juice is LCL, the blood of Lilith, what we are made of.

I remembered this song (the original), the title of the anime, the word Evangelion, and the show's concept of Angels from seeing a few minutes of it when i was about 6 up until i decided to find and watch it when I was 18. Whenever It would come to mind in those years between first seeing it and actually watching it I always felt this severe sense of hopelessness and dread, and the one image I remembered was the shot in the opening of blood on Unit One's hand and foot. This version of the song perfectly captures what I felt when thinking of this anime and what i still feel when I watch it.

i know exactly what you mean. Some things you see as a kid just imprint a sense of dread without you knowing exactly what it's about, which I think adds to that sense. I wasn't exposed to Evangelion at that age, but I can totally see that happening.

same thing happened to me. i saw evangelion 3.33 on tv, just remembered three scenes, but i had one word in my mind for years: evangelion. i didn´t knew where it came from, but after a lot of time, i searched the internet for this word and found what i was looking for all time without knowing why. evangelion is my favourite anime, because of its melancholy, that makes one cry and laugh (kind of) at the same time. beautiful story.

I have never seen Neon Genesis Evangelion... But now I feel I have to. Some years ago I came across some anime parody compilation video that had the theme in it. For years I had the theme's chorus stuck in my head, never knowing what it was. Then one day I was listening to my favorite Japanese voice actress/singer's music... that person being Megumi Ogata. I came across her version of the theme and finally I knew the song that had been in my head for so long! But for some reason the name of the anime sounded familiar, like it should mean something to me... I ignored the feeling and just listened to as many covers of what is now my favorite song as I could. That led me to discover this video. It is absolutely beautiful, especially at 1.25 speed. But as if the music wasn't enough, I began reading the comments and discovered why the name sounded familiar... It was my favorite deceased actor's favorite anime. I now remembered reading that before. And now, I must watch it...

He was such a fan of the show, He wanted to voice Shinjis Father in a dub and in the film "One Hour Photo", the Evangelion figure you see in it is actually from HIS collection.
