That old gas station was pretty cool. I looked into driving route 66 just to get out during the dark times last year and found out that there are sections of route 66 that are all grass, cut through people's yards and not drivable. Day 4 will break the 13 barrier I hope!!!!

I lived in Indianapolis in 09 and 10. I got an apartment at Nottingham on 21st not knowing how dangerous it was there. I have some stories living there 😟 lol!

Ha! I’m well aware of that area. Years ago I used to live in Speedway on 10th street. Not much better! 😅

@@SpyderGarage lol! I then moved to the apartment complex behind taco bell on Shadeland and 10th. Can't remember the name of the apartments but a little better than Nottingham but not much lol! I eventually moved back to my home town of Eaton OH where I passed you guys during power tour. Small world

We don’t live in Indy anymore but west of there. I used to live directly across the street from the track in Clermont years ago. 😄

Most refer to it as a targa band, but GM’s official name for it is “Roof Crown Moulding”

What kinda of roof top is that on the monza never seen one like it! I had a 1977 Spyder with a 327/ 4 speed, was a pretty fast car! 👍✌️

It’s actually a rare factory Buick Skyhawk glass roof called an “Astroroof w/ Roof Crown Moulding”. We cut it off an old Skyhawk and transplanted onto this car waaaay back in episodes 14 & 15. 😉👍🏻

@@SpyderGarage should show on time slip but that’s cool keep enjoying the good times almost race season here in Buffalo ny so Marvin the Astre will be on the track. I run 9.50s to 9.80s at 69 to 72 mph in the 1/8 mile

Just Curious, What size LS Motor? and what trans in that Car? Should be going much quicker if it is a 5.7

Well, two simple answers. No stall converter and horrible brakes. Couldn’t hold the car in place at the line and always took off at 1000 rpm max. We have a new transmission w/ stall converter but won’t have it installed in time for this year’s Drag Week but we do have a much better, appropriately-sizes Baer master cylinder (& line lock) for this year. This car should easily be in the 12’s. (Cam is still stock too)

@@SpyderGarage Cool Man Looks nice would even like to put my Lt1 in there Running a 1995 Trans am aftermarket exhaust and 3.73 gear the car went a best of 13.6 101mph with wore out drag radials. That Monza you have there with the Ls1 Has Lots of Potential that is for sure. Get that 60 foot down and like you said it is a 12 second car

It’s my son’s car, and I can pretty well assure you he’s not interested in selling. He’s got too many great memories invested into it, and he’s got many more to make. 🙃
