A Cycling Journey - Mandelbrot Fractal Zoom

A slow meditative journey into the Mandelbrot Set. This video is much longer and more relaxing than the videos I usually make, so be sure to check out the shapes of the Mandelbrot features as we dive really deep. Gentle colour cycling is added to give a little more movement. This one is probably ideal to play on your large TV, and let it roll in the background, perhaps with your own choice of music. Please subscribe!

It is incredible that all of this is born from a simple mathematical function. It really is just a pattern that repeats itself infinitely. But humans took cold, infallible, certain data, and added colors and angles. Suddenly, what seems like chaos is just the same pattern but in different iterations. I don't like to get all Carl Sagan narrates the universe, but in all actuality a fractal is directly correlated to life. We never see the true pattern because there is no end to the pattern. The more you learn and know, the more you realize you don't know. Like the fractal. Repeating itself into patterns forever.

On a microdose of .5 this is absolutely unreal, compared to when i watched this earlier. my eyes perceive it in 3d completely differently and the music made it an incredible experience, thank you :)

I'm not kidding when I say I seen this after 1 hit of possibly the best blotter I've ever had and 2 sips of my friends lemon mushroom drink and it terrified me at first. It was drawing in every tiny speck of me. I was convinced it was crazy new technology meant to put us under hypnosis while China invaded. It all got better after that. lol The beginning of probably the craziest trip I ever took. So I know exactly what you are talking about when you say you seen it in 3D and completely differently. I thought I was looking into eternity.

@@brianjacobs2748 All I know for sure is, I took one of the three hits of lsd I had and 2 literal shots of my friends mushroom and lemon drink. Now, this may be impossible, I really don't know, but last year, I smoked a LOT of DMT trying to blast off. Found a great way to smoke it. Not harsh. Good environment. mellow psychill music. Never did get there. I came very close, but never seen hyperspace. Now, the night I ate that hit and took those two shots, man, I was there. It's like all those times I smoked it and never blasted off were saved and waiting for the right catalyst. Acid and mushrooms have never done this to me before. I have not the greatest vision. That night, I could see better than I could ever have imagined I could in my wildest dreams. It felt more real than this reality. And instead of minutes, I was there for somewhere around 4 or 5 hours. I'd love to know if you have ever heard of anything like this happening before.

Chris Heichel yeah in here in the US and unfortunately have to get it illegally. If you do end up getting some (whether legal or illegal) always test it. There’s a chemical you can buy online called ehrlich. It’s pretty cheap and all you have to do is cut off a small corner of your tab and put a drop of ehrlich on it. If it turns into a purplish-pinkish color, then it’s good to go. If not, it’s a test chemical and you shouldn’t take it to be on the safe side. (Just in case you ever do get into psychs)

OMG THIS FREAKING THING IS THE BEST!!! The fractals are ..... unbelievably beautiful and mesmerizing with just the perfect amount of flow and change and mystery (IMO of course) and the music is emotionally evocative. Three hours long? ....the icing on the cake. thank you SOOOOOOOO MUCH!

Thanks. Just want to share my appreciation. This is very relaxing for me and my kid. And my 2 yr old likes to say the colors out loud and finally goes to sleep. Both of us are engaged at different levels with the same content and the get relaxed with the background music.

Try defocusing your eyes, that is, focus them behind the screen maybe 5 to 10 ft or so. The effect is marvelous, a double image where you can take turns giving one eye or the other priority.

I finally got something to do when I'm at work. Instead of trying to leave and being told "No", I could watch this video and see the spires appearing to grow/ spirals move and imagine that I'm somewhere else. When I get tired, I could look away and watch the background melt away back to normal size.
